Konstantinos Ioannis Kostas

BioKonstantinos is a political scientist and organizational researcher working on institutional norms and the global governance of AI. In his postdoctoral research, he is interested in how normative ideas from a specific context are adapted and received in global governance, and how these ideas change over time and across space in organizational fields and contexts, both through concepts and data. Among Konstantinos’ research focuses are institutional theory, international rankings and policy indices, conceptual history, algorithmic governance, and paradigmatic shifts of human-centricity.
In 2026, Konstantinos received a PhD in Politics and Organizations (Political Science) from the University of Helsinki, with a dissertation titled "Human-centricity as a Policy Concept: Paradigmatic Modifications of an Institutional Norm from Automation to AI". Konstantinos holds a master’s degree in political science, including a specialization in public administration and organizational research, and has completed studies in international relations (Sciences Po, Paris) and business technology (Aalto University). He is also a member of the Ideas and Institutions (IDIS) research group at the University of Helsinki.
