Michael Christopher Jewett

BioMichael Jewett is a Professor of Bioengineering at Stanford University. He received his B.S. from UCLA and PhD from Stanford University, both in Chemical Engineering. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Center for Microbial Biotechnology in Denmark and the Harvard Medical School. Jewett was also a guest professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). His research group focuses on advancing synthetic biology research to support planet and societal health, with applications in medicine, manufacturing, sustainability, and education.

Research Engineer, Program-Leskovec, J.BioI am a PhD student advised by Jure Leskovec and Percy Liang. I work on large-scale distributed data processing (currently, agentic and mixed-modal inference), natural language processing, and machine learning. My work is also supervised by Stephanie Wang, Baris Kasikci, and Luke Zettlemoyer at the University of Washington. Previously, I completed by B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science at Stanford, advised by Prof. Mark Horowitz, and affiliated with the Portal Center, AHA! Agile Hardware Center, and the Stanford VLSI Group.
