She completed her Ph.D. in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at University of California, Riverside in the laboratory of Wendy Saltzman in 2018. Following her Ph.D., she moved to Stanford for her postdoctoral work in the lab of Katrin J Svensson, studying endocrinology in mammalian energy metabolism.
