Current Research and Scholarly InterestsNavid Anjum Aadit builds hardware for problems that resist conventional acceleration: high-dimensional sampling, combinatorial search, and large AI models under hard energy budgets. His work spans the full stack, from Monte Carlo algorithms through probabilistic architectures to three-dimensionally integrated devices. He led the design of the first programmable probabilistic computer at the million p-bit scale, and at Stanford develops monolithic 3D CMOS+X accelerators.

Oliver O. Aalami, MD

BioDr. Oliver Aalami is a vascular surgeon and the Director of Digital Health at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. His primary mission is to advance healthcare access through digital health education, research, and translation. At Stanford, he serves as the course director for Biodesign for Digital Health and Building for Digital Health and is a co-founder of Spezi (formerly CardinalKit), an open-source framework developed to support sensor-based mobile research.
His recent work focuses on the intersection of AI and patient care, including the development of an FDA-cleared open-source computer vision model for opportunistic abdominal aortic diameter quantification on routine CT scans. Additionally, he is developing LLMonFHIR, a system that allows consumers to "chat" with their medical records (FHIR resources) on mobile devices, as well as AI-assisted coaching tools to guide patients through therapy. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy primary research interest is theoretical fisheries ecology, with a focus on population dynamics, spatial dynamics, and response to disease and catastrophic events. My current work involves the incorporation of the effects of ocean acidification and low-oxygen events into an abalone growth and reproduction model. Past projects include modeling indirect positive effects from fishing-induced competitive release and the effects of size-specific obligate predation on post-harvest recovery time.

BioI provide resources and consultation in data management and analysis. I offer workshops for Python as a Carpentries instructor and for data management planning. I help student, faculty, and staff researchers with data management and sharing plans as well as receiving attribution for their research products, including data and software. I advise on repository selection (including Stanford Digital Repository deposits) and other data management practices. I also offer introductory consultations on data science and artificial intelligence methods.
My background includes natural history collection stewardship, both of physical objects and their associated data, and biodiversity informatics. I have also worked on research intelligence (aggregating publication and research output). -

BioI am a Research Software Engineer (RSE) | Data Scientist & Data Manager at the Stanford Translational AI (STAI) Lab. I lead data engineering and AI infrastructure across large-scale neuroscience and healthcare projects, building standards-first, end-to-end pipelines for data collection, curation, preprocessing, and multimodal integration. My work emphasizes reproducibility, scalability, and interoperability through BIDS-style schemas, schema validation, containerized deployments, and CI/CD across heterogeneous computing environments.
I have designed and maintained containerized preprocessing workflows for thousands of subjects across major datasets, automating modality-specific steps such as registration, intensity normalization, bias-field correction, motion/confound estimation, quality control, and downstream metadata exports. I ensure these pipelines are robust, well-documented, versioned, and reusable across projects, sites, and modalities. -
