Clinical Associate Professor (By courtesy), Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Child DevelopmentBioTeresa Vente, DO, MPH is a pediatrician, psychiatrist, and palliative care physician at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. Her clinical and research interests include expanding psychiatry support for pediatric palliative care patients. Her academic interests include curriculum development and medical education for trainees and clinicians at all levels. She is a facilitator for both VitalTalk and EPEC (Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care) programs nationally and internationally. Prior to coming to Stanford, she was an assistant professor at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and Northwestern University where she served as program director for the pediatric and perinatal palliative care fellowship tracks, and most recently she was an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine.

BioJerry R. Ventura is a cybersecurity and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning government, aerospace, entertainment, technology, and professional services. His background includes cybersecurity governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, vulnerability management, and the development and implementation of security programs aligned with frameworks including NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Controls.
Jerry is a proud United States Air Force veteran, having served seven years in the Air Force before continuing his career in information security and cybersecurity leadership. Throughout his career, he has held leadership and security roles with organizations across a variety of industries, bringing a mission-focused approach to protecting information, managing risk, and strengthening organizational security.
He holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Syracuse University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Jerry is passionate about continuous learning, technology, leadership, and helping organizations build security programs that are both effective and sustainable.
He is excited to bring his experience and perspective to Stanford University's cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. -
