Sarah Pittock

BioSarah Peterson Pittock PhD recently joined Stanford Introductory Studies as the Associate Director for COLLEGE to support teaching excellence in the first year requirement. Previously, she taught in Stanford’s Program in Writing and Rhetoric developing courses that intersect writing with ethics, education, and medicine. From 2013-2015, she served as Associate Director of the Hume Center, supporting a writing-enriched curriculum through tutor education, writing workshops, graduate writing and speaking programming, and writing pedagogy consultations. From 2017-2022, she also directed Bing Honors College, a September program that accelerates rising seniors' progress on their honors research and writing. Her work has been published in Women's Writing, the WAC Journal, Writing Center Journal, and edited collections.

BioCheryll Ramirez is the Director of Operations in the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) Office. She has been with VPUE & Stanford since 2008. She currently oversees VPO's operation and facilities.
Prior to Stanford, Cheryll spent a good chunk of her career as the Financial Analyst at Pepperdine University supporting graduate programs in Education and Psychology. Cheryll is passionate in supporting education but also finds time to spend with family and friends. -

Kim Reuter

BioDr. Kim Reuter is an expert in environmental sustainability, climate change, and international development/diplomacy. With a PhD in Biology from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA), Kim is an author on almost 100 peer-reviewed publications and books, and has more than 15 years of hands-on experience in international climate and sustainability expertise gained at the World Bank, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, World Wide Fund for Nature, and Conservation International. Kim has worked in more than 20 African countries throughout her career as British diplomat and for regional non-governmental organisations and has taught at the university level on subjects related to climate change, ecology, and biology. Kim is a 2016 National Geographic Explorer and 2020 Churchill Fellow.
