Bio
Claudia Engel collaborates with students and faculty on digital research projects in the Anthropology Department, where she also teaches. She is a member of the Center of Interdisciplinary Digital Scholarship (CIDR) at the Stanford Libraries and trains Humanities and Social Science researchers in the use of the increasing number of the Libraries' digital data repositories. Claudia currently serves on the SUL AI Steering Committee and co-directs the ai4lam working group on teaching and learning AI.
Claudia holds a PhD in Anthropology and an MS in Biology. She has decades of experience in data science and digital research and has authored and co-authored numerous publications.

3D Models in Anthropological Research and Teaching
Development of a digital repository of 3D archaeological objects for research and teaching. Models will be deposited in the Stanford Digital Repository (SDR) for long term storage and preservation. The specimens will be made available for download and visualization for interactive exploration and manipulation.
