Sven Beiker
Lecturer, Graduate School of Business - Academic Administration
BioSven Beiker is a Lecturer in Management at the GSB, and the Managing Director of Silicon Valley Mobility, an independent consulting & advisory firm. He covers the electrification, automation, connectivity, and sharing of automobiles through the lens of new technologies and business models. This is reflected in his teaching at the GSB as well as in his professional engagements. Prior to his independent consulting work, he served as an Expert Consultant for mobility topics at McKinsey & Company for 2.5 years.
Dr. Beiker is also the former Executive Director of the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford, an industry affiliates program that he launched in 2008 together with Stanford Professors Gerdes, Nass, and Thrun. Before coming to Stanford, Dr. Beiker worked at the BMW Group for more than 13 years. Between 1995 and 2008 he pursued responsibilities in technology scouting, innovation management, systems design, and series development. He primarily applied his expertise to chassis and powertrain projects, which also provided him with profound insights into the industry’s processes and best practices. In addition, he worked in three major automotive and technology locations: Germany, Silicon Valley, and Detroit.
Dr. Beiker received his MS (1995) and PhD (1999) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University in Braunschweig, Germany. He published various technical papers and holds several patents in the fields of vehicle dynamics and powertrain technology. -

Kunal Doshi

BioKunal Doshi is currently a Partner at Accelerate Investment Group. Accelerate focuses on delivering superior risk-adjusted returns by investing in fund managers and entrepreneurs scaling technological innovations combating climate change.
Formerly Kunal worked at Capricorn Investment Group conducting diligence, evaluating investments, and providing assistance to existing portfolio companies. He acted as a Board Observer for select technology-impact venture and growth investments currently valued at ~$3.5 billion. Some of Capricorn's past and current investments include Form Energy, Got It, Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY), Pagatech, Planet (NYSE: PL), Saildrone, SpaceX, Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) and QuantumScape (NYSE:QS).
Prior to Capricorn, Kunal was an Associate at Greentech Capital Advisors, an Investment Bank acquired by Nomura, where he focused on projects in the energy and sustainability sector. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst within Citigroup’s Mergers & Acquisitions team. During his tenure at Greentech and Citigroup, he successfully raised over $1 billion in capital for companies and funds.
Kunal earned his Master's Degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor’s Degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia. -

MAX GORBUK

BioI'm a research analyst at the Stanford GSB Venture Capital Initiative, where I work with Prof. Ilya Strebulaev on why some startups become unicorns. I proposed the Soonicorns study, and the team used it in its 2026 World Economic Forum package for Davos. I also automated the team's research process with AI, so processing one study now takes ten minutes instead of a week.
In 2022 I founded MedAI, a clinical decision-support tool that helps pediatricians plan vaccinations for children on immunosuppressive therapy. In its first week in clinics it stopped a wrong vaccine dose. It grew to 10 clinics, and MamaDoc acquired it in 2026.
I write open-source code as well. Nearly a hundred of my pull requests are merged into projects like ccxt, QuantLib and the UK AI Security Institute's inspect_evals. Often the bug is a rule the library documents but never checks.
I studied computer science in St. Petersburg and spent a year in Idaho as one of 90 students the U.S. State Department selected from 2,000. I'm now at London Business School on a scholarship, in the Masters in Analytics and Management program.

Mike Harmon

BioMike Harmon is the Managing Partner of Gaviota Advisors, LLC, in Manhattan Beach, CA, where he advises and invests in small to medium sized companies. Prior to that, he spent 21 years as an investment professional in the Special Situations and Global Principal Groups at Oaktree Capital Management in Los Angeles. There he executed private equity and special situations transactions involving over 50 companies. Prior to that, Mr. Harmon held positions with CS First Boston, Price Waterhouse, and Society Corporation. Over the course of his career, Mr. Harmon has served as a member of the Board of Directors for 20 organizations in a broad range of industries and causes. He currently serves as a Board member for KCRW Radio, a non-profit media organization based in Santa Monica. He also serves as a Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Guest Lecturer at Harvard Business School in the areas of private equity, negotiation, and financial restructuring. He holds an M.B.A., with distinction, from Harvard Business School and a B.A., with distinction, in Economics from McGill University.

Ajay Madhok

He is the founder and CEO of Celerity Studios, a story-tech venture building AI-native tools and platforms for the next generation of creators. Its first product, MIXXI, enables Gen Z to remix and co-create culturally relevant content using AI. Previously, Ajay served as EVP of Business Strategy at Angel Studios and Managing Partner at the Angel Acceleration Fund.
At Stanford, Ajay is a Distinguished Scholar at mediaX, where he researches corporate innovation and organisational resilience. His current work focuses on building "purpose-built ventures" that combine startup agility with institutional assets, and on decentralised trust and crypto-enabled ecosystems as drivers of next-generation economic models.
Ajay is an advisor to Playground Global and a member of the Technology Advisory Council at Harman International (a Samsung company). He has contributed to foundational digital identity protocols (XRI/XDI) and serves as Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee at Trust over IP, a Linux Foundation initiative advancing digital trust standards.
He earned a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an M.S. in Mathematics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
