On Partial Leave from 10/01/2024 To 11/30/2024Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy laboratory, the Center for Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences Research (CIBSR), focuses on multi-level scientific study of individuals with typical and atypical brain structure and function. Data are obtained from genetic analyses, structural and functional neuroimaging studies, assessment of endocrinological status, neurobehavioral assessment, and analysis of pertinent environmental factors. Our overarching focus is to model how brain disorders arise and to develop disease-specific treatments.

Samantha Reyes

BioResearch Interests: Preclinical and clinical PET imaging, novel tracer validation in vivo, B cell role in multiple sclerosis and pharmacokinetic modelling
Samantha is a Biomedical Physics PhD student with extensive experience in multi-modal molecular imaging of neurological diseases and a strong background in synthetic chemistry. She helped validate both a novel sigma-1 radiotracer, [18F]FTC-146, for its ability to detect molecular markers of neuropathic pain non-invasively and a [64Cu]hCD19-mAb radiotracer for imaging therapy-induced B cell depletion. She is well-versed in pharmacokinetic modeling, receptor occupancy studies, autoradiography, and cell-based assays. Moreover, is an expert in PET/MR imaging of neonatal mice. -

Raheleh Roudi

BioRaheleh Roudi is a research scientist in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University. Dr. Roudi trained at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. She worked as an Assistant Professor at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Iran from 2015 to 2019, before coming to the United States. During this time, Dr. Roudi worked on several projects which have led to successful collaborations with the Karolinska Institute; Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin; Oslo University Hospital; National University of Singapore; Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and University of Brescia, among other internationally recognized institutions.
Dr. Roudi was a visiting scientist in the University of Texas at San Antonio and then appointed as a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota for one year, before joining Stanford University in 2022.
Her research interest focuses on the molecular oncology and immunotherapies of solid tumors and she published more than 40 peer reviewed papers. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Mirabela Rusu focuses on developing analytic methods for biomedical data integration, with a particular interest in radiology-pathology fusion. Such integrative methods may be applied to create comprehensive multi-scale representations of biomedical processes and pathological conditions, thus enabling their in-depth characterization.
