Current Role at StanfordI am a Senior Staff Scientist specializing in time-resolved gas-phase chemistry and structural dynamics studies using ultrabright, ultrafast X-rays and electrons. I have served the Laboratory in a multitude of Leadership roles including as the Director of the Megaelectronvolt Ultrafast Electron Diffraction (MeV-UED) user facility, LCLS Soft X-Ray Department, and the LCLS Laser Science and Research Department at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. My current focus is to continue the development of gas-phase photochemistry science areas at LCLS and to ensure their success for the User community in the era of high-brightness and high-repetition rate FELs such as LCLS-II-HE and LCLS-X.
