BioI am a postdoc researcher in the department of Geophysics. I graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. degree in 2017, and an MSc degree in 2015 in Geophysics and Seismology. The focus of my research was on the time-dependent behavior of carbonate and clay-rich shales at different reservoir conditions and scales. As a postdoc, I am expanding my previous finding by studying the thermo-viscoplastic behavior of shale rocks.
I hold another MSc degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Tehran, where I conducted impression creep tests to characterize the creep behavior of soft rocks, such as salts mud-rocks and tuffs. I performed these experiments in different laboratories at the University of Tehran, Tokai University of Japan and Toyota National College of Technology. -

I am always looking for new projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. I am interested in ways that technology can be used to tell stories, in virtual reality and games, and in live performance situations. I have created immersive theater pieces, and I enjoy working with new playwrights and writers to develop and shape their work.

BioChristine is a member of the research team at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI). She manages the HAI grant programs, student affinity initiative, and the operations of AI100, a 100-year effort to study and anticipate how the effects of AI will ripple through every aspect of how people work, live and play. Prior to joining Stanford, Christine worked on the digital learning team at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and as a case manager for newly arrived refugees in Omaha.

Vishnu Ravi

BioDr. Vishnu Ravi combines his expertise as a board-certified, practicing internal medicine physician, senior software engineer, and board-certified clinical informaticist to create transformative solutions for healthcare.
As the Technology Architect for Stanford Medicine Catalyst, the Stanford School of Medicine's flagship innovation program, he designs, develops, and implements innovations including AI-driven platforms for Parkinson's care, chronic cardiovascular disease management, and precision pharmacogenomics that are helping patients receive more personalized and effective care.
At the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign, Vishnu helps lead the center's digital health initiatives spanning education, research, and translation. To support this work, he co-founded Stanford Spezi, an open-source framework and ecosystem for building modular, standards-based digital health solutions that is now used by leading healthcare institutions and companies worldwide.
Vishnu also instructs Stanford's CS342/MED253 Building for Digital Health, an innovative course that brings together computer science, engineering, and medical students with clinical faculty to develop real-world healthcare applications. In 2025, he helped lead the international expansion of this program, with a successful launch at Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg in Sweden. He is also deeply involved in the effort to weave AI into the medical school curriculum at Stanford.
Vishnu's entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding a TechStars-backed startup and developing COVID-19 solutions deployed internationally. He has pioneered clinical AI applications, creating conversational agents and advanced analytics for unstructured health data, while contributing to international mobile health data standards. He serves as a technical consultant to companies including Google and speaks regularly at industry conferences.
Alongside his technology work, Vishnu maintains his connection to clinical practice as an Internal Medicine physician providing comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population at Stanford Health Care. -

BioKelly Ray, NP, is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. Kelly completed her nurse practitioner training at Georgetown University, and worked in primary care and corporate health before joining Stanford in 2016. She particularly enjoys helping patients with acute medical needs, and maintains clinical interest in wilderness and travel medicine.

BioDr. Emily Scarpulla Raymond, PhD is a pediatric psychology fellow at Stanford University. She received her PhD at the University of Maine, Orono in clinical psychology in 2024 and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Rochester in 2018. Emily has conducted research focusing on adolescent psychosocial behavior and outcomes with a particular emphasis on the role of social media in adolescent friendships. As a clinician, Emily works with children and adolescents with comorbid medical and psychological conditions in several medical clinics through Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford.
