Luciana de O. Torres
Graduate, Vice Provost and Dean of Research
BioI am a Brazilian judge with nearly a decade of experience in the judiciary, committed to delivering fair, efficient, and well-reasoned decisions within a complex legal system. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong interest in how technology can enhance access to justice and improve institutional performance.
I hold a Master’s degree in Law and Technology from Cornell University, where I deepened my understanding of the intersection between legal systems and emerging technologies. This experience strengthened my commitment to innovation and inspired me to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in the legal field.
I am now seeking to further advance my knowledge in technology and artificial intelligence in order to develop creative, impactful solutions that address real-world challenges. My goal is to contribute to initiatives that improve people's lives, promote efficiency in public institutions, and expand access to justice through thoughtful and responsible use of technology. -
