Ying Chih Chang
Adjunct Professor, Chemical Engineering
BioDr. Ying Chang is the Chair of the Taiwan Science and Technology Hub and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University. She is also the Founder and CEO of Acrocyte Therapeutics, Inc.
Her former faculty appointments include Research Fellow (-Associate Fellow) at the Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and Assistant Professor in the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. The research highlights include integrating nanomaterials, microfluidics, and bioreactors to control cell fates for tissue engineering, as well as developing circulating tumor cell 3D culture for cancer diagnostics and precision medicine. She holds multiple patents in DNA microarray constructs (assigned to Affymetrix), circulating tumor cell isolation and cancer screening (assigned to Cellmax Life Inc.), and single cell derived scaffold free 3D culture platform RCE and circulating tumor cell liquid biopsy drug test (assigned to Acrocyte Therapeutics Inc. www.acrocyte.com).
Dr. Chang’s work was recognized by the Young Investigator Award from the Whitaker Foundation, FDA breakthrough device designation for pre-cancer and cancer detection (2021), Future Tech Award (2021), 18th National Innovation Award, Taiwan (2021), and Finalist at Startup Stadium at BIO 2024, among other. She is also on the board of trustees of Kaohsiaung Medical University, and Chang Chau-Ting Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization for science education and awareness in Taiwan. She received her BS from National Taiwan University, and PhD from Stanford University, both in Chemical Engineering. -

BioI’m a research/computational scientist working on the design and analysis of models and data-driven algorithms for the simulation of complex, multiscale and multiphysics problems. My background and training have foundations in Numerical Analysis, Scientific Computing, Inverse Problems, Control and Optimization, and Uncertainty Quantification. In the past five years I have focused on Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) and Deep Learning. I am an expert in Nonlocal/Fractional Modeling and Simulation (10 years) with application to Continuum Mechanics, Subsurface Transport, Image Processing, and Turbulence. I have a master's degree in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (2007) and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Emory University (2011).

BioKatryna Dillard joined Stanford University in 2021 as the program manager for the Stanford Wearable Electronics (eWEAR) Initiative. As the program manager Katryna manages the logistics of annual symposiums, monthly seminars/newsletters, tracking and updating current affiliate member companies, and acts as a point of contact with affiliate members while providing administrative support. Prior to joining eWEAR Katryna worked in hotels at the front desk and events for 5 years. She graduated from Whittier College with a B.A. in Sociology and Theatre Communication Arts with an emphasis in Design and Technology.

BioDr. Stefan Domino’s research interest rests within low-Mach fluid mechanics methods development for marine ethology-based systems that drive the coupling of mass, momentum, species and energy transport. His core research resides within the intersection of physics elucidation, numerical methods research, V&V techniques exploration, and high performance computing and coding methods for turbulent flow applications. Junting Duan

BioJunting Duan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) at Stanford University. Prior to joining Stanford, she received her B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Peking University in 2020.
Junting's research interests lie broadly in data-driven decision-making, focusing on statistical inference and machine learning, with applications to causal inference and finance. Her research develops new methodologies with rigorous statistical foundations that enable reliable decision-making with complex and imperfect data, and lies at the intersection of (1) statistical learning for high-dimensional data; (2) causal inference; and (3) machine learning for finance and risk management. Her work has been recognized through publications and revisions at top journals including Management Science and the Journal of Econometrics, as well as invitations to present at major conferences such as the American Economic Association Annual Meeting, the NBER-NSF Time-Series Conference, the NBER Forecasting & Empirical Methods Conference, and the INFORMS Annual Meeting.
