He is a founding member of the School of Medicine at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega, Kenya, which now has three classes of medical students. He conducted and published the first study of 10-year survival on antiretroviral medications for HIV in Kenya.

BioKelly is a first-year medical student. She graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. Post-graduation, she completed a public service fellowship with 5G Dialysis Centre and the Ministry of Health, working to improve the accessibility and affordability of dialysis in Guyana. Kelly is interested in increasing health equity for underserved communities, both locally and abroad.
