  BioGita Abhiraman is an MD/PhD Candidate at Stanford. She completed her PhD research in Immunology advised by Dr. Christopher Garcia, where she studied cytokine signaling, immune receptor structure, and protein engineering. Gita completed her bachelor's degree in Physics, with a focus in Biophysics, at Harvard University. She previously studied tumor-immune dynamics and helped to engineer the bacterial enzyme sortase for live cell-tracking applications, under the mentorship of Dr. Stephanie Dougan at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
