Ryan Michael Aronson
Research Asst - Graduate, Energy Science & Engineering - Tchelepi Program
BioI am a sixth year PhD student in the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME). I am mainly interested in developing numerical methods with applications to computational mechanics and fluid dynamics. I am particularly interested in high-order, structure-preserving, finite element, and isogeometric methods. Prior to coming to Stanford, I earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I worked with Professor John Evans on residual-based variational multiscale turbulence modeling, isogeometric, structure-preserving collocation methods, and stabilized isogeometric collocation methods. Currently I work with Professor Hamdi Tchelepi on stabilized methods for compositional geomechanics problems. I have also had the pleasure of working industry internships with Meta Reality Labs, TotalEnergies, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and SLB.

Research and Development Scientist and Engineer, Earth & Planetary Sciences
Current Role at StanfordI manage the Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry Laboratory in the Mitchell Building, part of the Environmental Measurements Facility 2 (EMF2) at Stanford's School of Earth Sciences. The lab houses 8 analyzer systems interfaced with 5 mass spectrometers which are used for high-precision stable isotope measurements of a wide variety of materials from terrestrial as well as marine environments. My role there is to ensure smooth operation of the instrumentation, to closely monitor the quality of the generated data, and to work with students and researchers to optimize existing or develop new methods for both sample preparation and analysis.

Clark Michael Campagna
Student Svcs Offcr 2, Geophysics
BioClark Campagna serves as Assistant Director of Student Services for the Department of Geophysics. In this role, Clark: provides academic advising to BS, MS and Ph.D. geophysics students; supports the graduate admission process; manages course scheduling; and supports the department's postdoctoral scholars . Previously Clark served as a Student Services Officer for the dual and joint MS students in Stanford's E-IPER program.
Prior to joining Stanford, Clark served as a Program Assistant for two master-level programs at the University of San Francisco. As a student services professional, Clark enjoys hearing about students' goals and passions, and working with them to make the most of their time at Stanford. Clark holds a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego and both an MPA and MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of San Francisco. When not at work, Clark enjoys road cycling, running, cooking, and spending time with friends.
