Sathya Narayanan Jagadeesan

BioSathya Narayanan Jagadeesan is a postdoctoral scholar at the SLAC-Stanford Battery Center, with joint appointments in the Applied Energy Division at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on earth-abundant and non-critical battery chemistries, including aqueous iron, sodium-sulfur, and sodium-ion systems, using advanced synchrotron X-ray characterization and data-driven approaches to understand interfacial chemistry and degradation mechanisms. His work aims to advance scalable and resilient energy storage technologies that reduce reliance on critical materials and strengthen the reliability of modern electric grids. He is driven by translating fundamental insights into practical solutions that support long-duration and widely deployable energy storage.

Mathangi Janakiraman

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsI study how the gut ecosystem, gut function, and neuroimmune interactions change during aging and in diseases like Alzheimer’s. I investigate how dietary interventions, including fermented foods and ketones, modulate gut cells and physiology. My goal is to reveal mechanisms through which diet supports healthy aging and to advance dietary strategies for age‑associated diseases.

BioThomas (Tomek) Jaroslawski is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center of Turbulence Research (CTR). His research interests lie in experimental fluid mechanics, applied to a wide range of applications. He works with Professor Beverley McKeon on investigating rough-walled turbulent boundary layer flows, and also with Professor Juan Santiago on studying the flow physics in various microfluidic applications.

Aleesha Jethwa
Postdoctoral Scholar, Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine
BioDr Jethwa is a postdoctoral fellow working in Dr Sultan's lab, within the Obstetric Anesthesiology Department. She is funded by the R90 HEAL/Pain Cohort grant. Her research focuses on the peripartum period and how targeted interventions can alter recovery trajectories.
Dr Jethwa previously worked as a resident anesthesiologist in the UK for 7 years including rotations in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, and Pain Medicine and completed a Masters in Education at the University of Pennsylvania focused on medical education. -
Rathinaraja Jeyaraj

BioI work at the intersection of AI, multimodal learning, and large-scale image analytics, with a strong focus on computational pathology and foundation models for healthcare. My current research interests include LLMs, VLMs, multimodal reasoning, whole-slide image analysis, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and trustworthy AI for medical decision support.
I develop scalable deep learning systems spanning WSI preprocessing, multiple instance learning, segmentation, survival prediction, and multimodal image-text modeling. My work also involves attention interpretability, contrastive learning, pathology foundation model adaptation, and large-scale AI pipelines. Beyond healthcare AI, I have experience in time-series forecasting, distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and real-time computer vision systems for industrial and smart-city applications.
I am particularly interested in building reliable, interpretable, and clinically meaningful AI systems that bridge computer vision, multimodal learning, and large-scale reasoning. -

Now I'm digging into a field about finding a way to empower immunotherapy by appropriately utilizing radiation therapy.

BioDr. Yan Jiang is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Stanford Center on Early Childhood. She earned her Ph.D. in Education Studies with a specialization in Computational Social Science from the University of California, San Diego. Her research lies at the intersection of research methodology and early childhood education, focusing on computational analysis of text data and equitable access to high-quality early care and education. Using computational, quantitative, and qualitative methods, her work reimagines the conceptions of early care and education quality in global contexts and amplifies the voices of communities historically underrepresented. Her scholarship has been recognized with the Dissertation Funding Award from the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD), the Yankelovich Graduate Research Grant, and the International Institute Research Fellowship from UC San Diego. Her research has appeared in leading journals, including Educational Researcher, Review of Educational Research, and Early Education and Development.

BioNerea is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Dr. Joseph Wu's lab. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). She was in an exchange program at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada) where she completed her Honours Thesis project on the Regulation of the Metastasis Suppressor Protein CREB3L1 in Dr. Deborah H Anderson's lab. She received her Masters' degree at Universidad de Alcalá (Spain) working at Dr. Isabel Liste Noya's lab on The role of p27Kip1 in the pluripotency and differentiation of dopaminergic neurons. She obtained her Ph.D. in Dr. Naweed Syed's lab studying the Cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying anesthetic-induced cytotoxicity, and their impact on learning and memory. She has received an ATRAC postdoctoral fellowship (Aug 2022 - Aug 2023), an AHA postdoctoral fellowship (Apr 2023 - Sept 2024) and currently holds a TRDRP Postdoctoral Fellowship (Jul 2024 - Jun 2027) titled "Using a human in vitro platform to study the effects of cannabinoids on the cardiovascular system" .
