Linbo Yu
Clinical Instructor (Affiliated), Pediatrics - Genetics
BioLinbo Yu is a genetic counselor and a founding member of Stanford’s Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007 and her master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of California, Irvine in 2009. She started her career at Ambry Genetics. In 2014, she became the first lab genetic counselor at Stanford Hospital and helped establish Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). As a passionate clinical liaison between Stanford Clinical Lab and the ordering providers at Stanford, some of her roles include assisting clinicians with selection of genetic tests, reviewing genetic test orders for clinical appropriateness and educating ordering providers about genetic diseases and test information. Linbo is also a clinical instructor of Department of Pediatrics, and she enjoys clinical supervision of genetic counseling students.

Miki Yu

BioMiki Yu joined Precourt Institute for Energy (PIE) as an Event and Outreach Program Planner. In this role she will help shape the programs that PIE, TomKat Center and GCEP offer as they build greater visibility within the Stanford community, the energy community at large, and throughout the world.
Miki started at Stanford working for the Office of Development in 2002, where she reported to the Vice President’s office. She then joined the Stanford Challenge Campaign as an initial team member, working with OOD partners and engaging volunteers and donors at every stage to build and direct momentum for The Stanford Challenge campaign. She was instrumental in executing the Leading Matters component of the campaign, which achieved record breaking attendance and engagement results. -
Yaochun Yu
Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering
BioMy research focuses on functional environmental microbiology and environmental analytical chemistry to uncover and harness microorganisms for chemical biotransformation. We integrate high-resolution mass spectrometry, meta-omics sequencing, molecular microbiology and biochemistry, and computational modeling to identify the functional microbes, genes, and enzymes that drive these processes. Building on these mechanistic insights, we aim to develop environmentally benign chemicals and novel biosolutions for bioremediation and waste-to-resource recovery.
I am also interested in how anthropogenic perturbations (i.e., chemical exposure) reshape microbial biodiversity and ecosystem function across natural and engineered ecosystems. We aim to resolve these cause–effect relationships and, using standardized and synthetic microbial communities, run comparable, hypothesis-driven experiments that translate fundamental insights into predictive tools and practical interventions. The aim is to help keep human activities within the safe operating space of planetary boundaries while advancing environmental and public health. -

Anisa Yudawanti (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in Race, Inequality, and Language in Education in the Graduate School of Education. She comes to Stanford by way of the Midwest and West Sumatra, Indonesia.
Drawing on her experience as a community-based youth worker and high school social studies teacher, Anisa's research moves us to consider what studies of space and movement can bring to bear on our understanding of schools. Her scholarship sits at the intersections of education studies, Black and critical geographies, and abolition and carceral studies. Her current study examines schools as sites of enclosure and how racially marked youth navigate school space through the lens of escape and fugitivity. She situates her inquiry in the Midwest and the Bay Area. -
Chik Patrick Yue

BioProf. Yue received the Master and PhD degrees in EE from Stanford in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He has been a professor for over two decades, and taught IC design classes and conduct research at HKUST (2010-now), UC Santa Barbara (2006-11), Carnegie Mellon (2003-06), Tsinghua (visiting 2016), and Stanford (visiting 1998 & 2025-now). He has supervised over 10 post-docs, 30 PhD and 10 MPhil students. He has published over 250 technical papers, holds over 25 patents and accumulated over 10000 citations. Together with his students and teachers, he has been awarded the IEEE VLSI Circuit Symposium Test of Time Award (2024), the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Outstanding Young Author Award (2017), and the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Youth Award by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (2016), and the ISSCC Best Student Paper Award (2003). Over the years, he has cofounded a number of startups in both Silicon Valley and Hong Kong including Atheros Communications (1998), Jetcomm Technologies (2014), LiPHY Communications (2018), and High5 Semiconductor (2024) to commercialize technologies from academic to industry.
Prof. Yue is a Fellow of the IEEE and Optica, and a member of the ACM. He has a diverse research interests spanning from optical wireline and mmWave wireless SoC and SiP design, neural implant microsystems, 3D computer vision models, and power network management system. -
Kin M. Yuen, MD, MS, FAASM
Clinical Associate Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences - Sleep Medicine
BioDr. Kin Min Yuen is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sleep medicine specialist with Stanford Health Care. She is also a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Sleep Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Yuen specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders in adults and children older than 3 years old. Conditions she treats include insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder, restless legs syndrome, and sleepwalking.
Dr. Yuen’s research interests have included women and sleep disorders, healthy sleep and aging, and advancements in treating sleep apnea.
Dr. Yuen has published her research in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, Chest, International Journal of Sleep Disorders, and Psychosomatic Medicine. She has presented to her peers at international, national, and regional meetings, including those of the American Thoracic Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and the California Sleep Society (CSS).
Dr. Yuen is a member of the AASM, the CSS, the International Pediatric Sleep Association (IPSA), and the World Sleep Society. -

Sajung Yun, PhD, MBA

Affiliate, US-Asia Technology Management CenterBioDr. Sajung Yun is a multifaceted scholar and entrepreneur whose work bridges the disciplines of genomics, biomedical sciences, and artificial intelligence. At Stanford, his current research focuses on AI's self-recognition, self-protection, and self-perpetuation mechanisms and their implications in relation to Artificial General Intelligence and Super-Specialized Generalist Intelligence in medicine. He also serves as Adjunct Professor of Bioinformatics at Johns Hopkins University where he teaches bioinformatics courses over the last ten years.
Dr. Yun earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the John A. Burns School of Medicine and his MBA with concentrations in Healthcare Management and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University, blending rigorous scientific training with strategic leadership in medical innovation. He also attended M.D. program and completed 121 credits at John A. Burns School of Medicine. His academic appointments also include a concurrent role as Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), where he continues to contribute to global collaborations in AI-driven bioinformatics and healthcare system optimization.
As the Founder and CEO of Predictive AI, Dr. Yun leads a digital health company specializing in AI-based personalized preventive medicine platforms. Under his leadership, the company has been recognized for excellence in innovation, receiving distinctions such as the 2023 and 2022 4th Industrial Revolution Awards in AI and Biohealth, and the 2024 Venture Business Association President’s Award at the 6th Korea SME & Startup Awards. In recognition of his contributions to global innovation and leadership, Dr. Yun was named a 2025 Forbes Global CEO Delegate. In 2026, he lead his company to win Honoree Award in CES.
Dr. Yun’s professional career began as a Research Fellow at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he investigated advanced gene editing and genetic surgical methods. His research portfolio spans topics including next-generation sequencing data analysis, MRI volumetric analysis, and AI applications in biomedical imaging. His numerous publications and work continues to contribute to the evolving landscape of digital healthcare, emphasizing the convergence of data science, clinical insight, and artificial intelligence for human health advancement. -
Muharrem Yunce, M.D.
Clinical Associate Professor, Pathology
BioDr. Yunce completed his transfusion medicine fellowship at Stanford and then gained invaluable clinical experience with the Malignant Hematology Group at UCSF for two years. After rejoining Stanford, Dr. Yunce started as the Medical Director of Therapeutic Apheresis. In this role, he works with clinicians from various departments, fellows, residents, and nursing staff to ensure life-saving and emergent procedures such as therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), red cell exchange, plateletpheresis, and leukapheresis are conducted effectively. Additionally, Dr. Yunce oversees extracorporeal photopheresis for solid organ transplant rejection.
Dr. Yunce has been recognized for his contribution to the Department of Pathology as a faculty member in teaching and mentorship.He was selected for Teaching Award in 2023 and Mentor Award by the department and was nominated in 2023 and 2024 for the prestigious Alwin C. Rambar-James B.D. Mark Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
As an active member of the American Society of Apheresis, Dr. Yunce chairs the research subcommittee on TPE utilization in solid organ transplant rejection and desensitization protocols as well as he is member of multiple research subcommittees.
