Linbo Yu

BioLinbo Yu is a genetic counselor and a founding member of Stanford’s Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007 and her master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of California, Irvine in 2009. She started her career at Ambry Genetics. In 2014, she became the first lab genetic counselor at Stanford Hospital and helped establish Genetic Testing Optimization Service (GTOS). As a passionate clinical liaison between Stanford Clinical Lab and the ordering providers at Stanford, some of her roles include assisting clinicians with selection of genetic tests, reviewing genetic test orders for clinical appropriateness and educating ordering providers about genetic diseases and test information. Linbo is also a clinical instructor of Department of Pediatrics, and she enjoys clinical supervision of genetic counseling students.

Dessi Zaharieva
Instructor, Pediatrics - Endocrinology and Diabetes
BioDessi completed her PhD at York University in Toronto, Canada under the supervision of Dr. Michael Riddell in 2018. Her PhD research focused on strategies to reduce dysglycemia around exercise in adults with type 1 diabetes. Dessi is currently an Instructor at Stanford working under the supervision of Dr. David Maahs. Her research focuses on exercise physiology and blood glucose management in type 1 diabetes.

Chongyang Zhang

BioDr. Zhang is a Postdoctoral Scholar at RabLab in the cardiopulmonary division. She has a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Rochester, NY. She has research in cardiovascular research and chronobiology published in high impact peer-reviewed journals. She is recipient of honors including predoctoral fellowship from AHA, Travel Grant for Early Career Investigators from Council on Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology. She has served as ad hoc reviewer for more than 40 manuscripts for reputed journals.
