Jason Arora MD, MPH, MA

Visiting Scholar, Epidemiology and Population HealthBioDr. Jason Arora is a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Epidemiology & Population Health at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he focuses on the development and deployment of AI applications in population health.
He holds degrees in Medicine and Medical Sciences from Oxford University and in Public Health from Harvard University, and is a former NHS physician, Fulbright Scholar, and Aspen Health Fellow.
Dr. Arora has spent nearly two decades building and leading innovation efforts across healthcare, population health, and life sciences at some of the world's leading companies, including Google Life Sciences (Head of Clinical Science Innovation and Medical Affairs), Medtronic (Director of Value-Based Care), The Gates Foundation (AI Strategy Lead, Global Health), and ICHOM (Director; a non-profit joint venture co-founded by BCG, The Karolinska Institutet, and Harvard Business School). He is an experienced senior operator with a track record of building and leading large global teams across disciplines and sectors - including health systems, care models and quality improvement, clinical trials, digital health and AI, payment models, policy and regulation, medical devices, consumer health, and biotechnology.
Recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 lister in Healthcare and Science, and as a recipient of the Harvard Public Health Alumni Innovator Award and Lord Mayor of London & Guild of Freemen National Prize, Dr. Arora continues to serve as a judge for the Zayed Sustainability Prize administered by the Government of Abu Dhabi, and was previously a judge for Harvard’s Public Health Alumni Awards and an Honorary Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.
He is a frequent keynote speaker and his work and commentary have appeared in top-tier journals and media, including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Catalyst, Harvard Business Review, BMJ, The Economist, Forbes, and JACC. -
Parth Arora
Life Science Research Professional 1, Pediatrics - Pulmonary Medicine
BioParth is joining the School of Medicine as a Life Science Research Professional for the Department of Pediatrics. As a part of Dr. Christin Kuo’s Lab, Parth is driven to support the team’s mission and actively contribute to the intellectual environment of the lab. He recently graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. During his time at UIC, he has been a part of several research projects where he collaborated with Dr. Rhonda D. Kineman to design a research project to investigate variations in hepatic gene expression throughout the phases of the estrus cycle and study the impact of sexual dimorphism in the progression of the nonalcoholic fatty liver. He believes this position would be an excellent opportunity for him to apply his skills while engaging in multidisciplinary projects that would make a real-life impact. He is thrilled to receive this opportunity and looks forward to being a part of the Stanford Community.
