BioWilliam Vasquez McTeigue is conducting research in the lab of Katherine Hekman, MD, PhD, RPVI, FACS, where he applies induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to develop regenerative therapies for peripheral artery disease. His work bridges vascular surgery and stem-cell biology, with the goal of advancing treatments for patients with critical limb ischemia and other vascular disorders.

Dr. Vattuone received her Ph.D. in Human Development and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles with specialized training in evidence-based interventions. Dr. Vattuone’s research efforts focus on the early identification, diagnosis, and treatment of infants and toddlers, developmental trajectories, and the role of the family in supporting positive outcomes. Her dedication to research, treatment, and training continues at ADDRP to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

Aditya Vaze

BioDr. Vaze is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist with Stanford Medicine Partners Cardiology Castro Valley, Stanford Health Care Emeryville, and Heart & Vascular Clinic Pleasanton. He holds board certifications in cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Vaze prides himself on providing comprehensive, patient-focused care and acting as a partner in navigating the complexities of a heart condition diagnosis. He focuses on evidence-based medicine, the latest diagnostic tools and testing, and most of all, his patients’ needs. Dr. Vaze wants his patients to actively participate in their care, as he believes it leads to the best outcomes and to more personalized care.
Dr. Vaze has a strong interest in improving quality and business processes to deliver efficient, streamlined care. He has worked on interventions for increasing safety and satisfaction across multiple hospital systems, including leading local projects focused on optimizing coronary angiography patient workflows. Dr. Vaze has also participated in national projects including the Million Hearts® Cardiovascular Disease Risk Reduction Model to reduce cardiovascular disease risk.
Dr. Vaze’s clinical research interests include atrial fibrillation and predicting cardiac mortality. Dr. Vaze has published his work in many peer-reviewed journals, including PLOS One, Clinical Cardiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and Current Cardiology Reports. He has also coauthored many abstracts for the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions.
Dr. Vaze is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. -
Shivam Vedak

BioShivam Vedak, MD, MBA, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology-Neuroscience from the Schreyer Honors College at The Pennsylvania State University, followed by a dual MD/MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UIC, where he was honored as the institution’s American College of Physicians Outstanding Resident of the Year in 2022, and subsequently completed a fellowship in Clinical Informatics at Stanford.
Clinically, Dr. Vedak practices as a surgical co-management hospitalist at Stanford Health Care (SHC). His academic and operational work centers on the practical integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical workflows, ranging from safe and effective deployment and monitoring to the broader education of healthcare workers on these rapidly evolving technologies. He is frequently invited to speak at national conferences, academic institutions, and professional events, offering both engaging interactive workshops and structured didactic sessions on the fundamentals of large language models (LLMs) and evidence-based prompting techniques. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsThe focus of my laboratory is to utilize precision medicine techniques to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurologic conditions. From traumatic brain injury to spinal scoliosis, the ability to capture detailed data regarding clinical symptoms and treatment outcomes has empowered us to do better for patients. Utilize data to do better for patients, that’s what we do.
