BioAmir is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford Mineral-X. With 15 years of research and industry experience, his background includes the development and optimization of mineral processing flowsheets for copper, phosphate, graphite and rare earth elements (REEs) from primary and secondary resources. At Stanford, he conducts research related to various aspects of critical minerals processing, including AI-driven reagent discovery, uncertainty quantification, circuit design, and optimization of energy and water consumption.

A Certified Meeting Professional, she also volunteers for the Event Planners Practitioners Community on campus. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, playing board games, reading speculative fiction, and spoiling her two cats Juniper and Nutmeg.

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsOptical engineering plays a major role in imaging, communications, energy harvesting, and quantum technologies. We are exploring the next frontier of optical engineering on three fronts. The first is new materials development in the growth of crystalline plasmonic materials and assembly of nanomaterials. The second is novel methods for nanofabrication. The third is new inverse design concepts based on optimization and machine learning.
