    Clinical Associate Professor, Radiation Oncology - Radiation Therapy

    Current Research and Scholarly InterestsIn addition to my clinical research in head and neck and lung cancer, I work on the application of computer science and machine learning to cancer research. I develop tools for analyzing large datasets to improve outcomes and safety of cancer treatment. I developed a machine learning prognostic model using data from around 13,000 patients with metastatic cancer which performs better than traditional models and physicians [PubMed ID 33313792]. We recently completed a prospective randomized study in thousands of patients in which the model was used to help improve advance care planning conversations.

    I also work on the methods underpinning observational and predictive modeling research. My open source nnet-survival software that allows use of neural networks for survival modeling has been used by researchers internationally. In collaboration with the Stanford Research Informatics Center, I examined how electronic medical record (EMR) survival outcome data compares to gold-standard data from a cancer registry [PubMed ID 35802836]. The EMR data captured less than 50% of deaths, a finding that affects many studies being published that use EMR outcomes data.

    Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDEVELOPMENT OF STROKE RECOVERY THERAPEUTICS:
    Stroke is devastating to patients and their caregivers. We currently are investigating 3 neural repair approaches. The first focuses on developing a stroke recovery therapeutic based on an essential repair pathway and how it alters the immune response following stroke. The second utilizes implantable, conductive polymer devices to electrically manipulate the recovering nervous system to improve recovery and identify novel therapeutic targets. The final approach works to optimize stem cell therapeutics to enhance their ability to treat patients who have suffered from neural injury.

    CONDUCTIVE BIOPOLYMER SYSTEMS FOR NEURAL RECOVERY AND STEM CELL MODULATION:
    The George lab develops biomaterials to improve neural recovery in the peripheral and central nervous systems. By controlled release of drugs and molecules through biomaterials we can study the temporal effect of these neurotrophic factors on neural recovery and engineer drug delivery systems to enhance regenerative effects. By identifying the critical mechanisms for neural recovery, we are able to develop polymeric technologies for clinical translation in nerve regeneration. Recent work utilizes these novel conductive polymers to differentiate stem cells for therapeutic and drug discovery applications.

    APPLYING ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE BIOMARKERS FOR STROKE DIAGNOSTICS:
    The ability to create diagnostic assays and techniques enables us to understand biological systems more completely and improve clinical management. Previous work utilized mass spectroscopy proteomics to find a simple serum biomarker for TIAs (a warning sign of stroke). Our study discovered a novel candidate marker, platelet basic protein. Current studies are underway to identify further candidate biomarkers using transcriptome analysis. More accurate diagnosis will allow for aggressive therapies to prevent subsequent strokes.

    BioMarios is an Instructor of Neuroimaging in the Department of Radiology.

    His research focuses mainly on studying brain microstructure using cutting edge imaging (advanced X-ray, MRI, optical, and spatial biology approaches), with a particular focus on Alzheimer's disease hippocampi, neurodegeneration, and a special interest in myelin and iron.
    He is also actively involved in projects related to imaging and modeling brain trauma, exosome signatures of neurodegeneration, and imaging the brain using advanced forms of electron and light microscopy.

    His current research is being supported by NIH, the Alzheimer's Association, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC), and the Stanford ADRC.


    Marios is a mechanical engineer by training (School of Mechanical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece). His thesis "Closed-loop force control of a haptic surgical simulator", was performed in the Control Systems Lab of Prof. Evangelos Papadopoulos.

    In 2011 he obtained his MSc in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). He performed his thesis in IBM Research on "Advanced pathology using the Microfluidic Probe", under Emmanuel Delamarche and Govind Kaigala, and was awarded the ETH medal for this work.

    He completed his PhD in Bone Biomechanics in the lab of Prof. Ralph Muller in ETH Zurich, where he developed X-ray scattering-based methods to investigate bone microstructure in 3D, research that earned him the 2nd Student Award from the European Society for Biomechanics in 2015.

    In 2016 he started using imaging methods to study brain microstructure, in the lab of Prof. Markus Rudin, in the Institute for Biomedical Engineering of ETH Zurich. There, he combined X-ray scattering with DTI, histology and CLARITY for studying rodent brain.

    In 2017 he joined the MRI Biophysics group of Profs. Els Fieremans and Dmitry Novikov in New York University School of Medicine, to study human and mouse brain microstructure using X-ray scattering and diffusion MRI.

    He is in the Translational Neuroimaging lab, headed by Dr Michael Zeineh, since 2019.

    His research on myelin in mouse and human brain using X-ray scattering has been supported twice by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

    BioDr. Gerber is a critical care cardiologist and medical director of Stanford's cardiac ICU. He has dual subspecialty training in cardiovascular and critical care medicine and additional board certification in echocardiography. He completed his residency in internal medicine, fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, and an additional fellowship in critical care medicine at Stanford University and joined as faculty in 2021 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.

    Dr. Gerber manages the full spectrum of heart and vascular conditions with a focus on critically ill patients with life-threatening cardiovascular disease. He is active in medical education, teaching introductory echocardiography to Stanford medical students and residents, co-directing the Stanford Critical Care Medicine Critical Care Ultrasound Program, and lecturing nationally on critical care echocardiography and point-of-care ultrasonography at the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s annual congress. Finally, Dr. Gerber’s research interests focus on optimizing cardiac intensive care, including working with the Critical Care Cardiology Trials Network (CCCTN) - a national network of tertiary cardiac ICUs coordinated by the TIMI Study Group - and studying acute mechanical circulatory support techniques to improve patient outcomes and care processes.

    BioMy clinic focuses on solving the molecular puzzles that underlie rare allergic and immunologic diseases to shed light on fundamental principles governing allergy, inflammation and immune system defects. My goal is to find better and safer therapies for my patients with rare diseases that include autoinflammation, autoimmunity and primary immune deficiency. It is important to highlight that every patient requires individualized therapeutic approaches based on their underlying genetic problem and the types and severity of their clinical manifestations. For some patients, a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) is curative while for others, a targeted drug therapy, such as a biologic or small molecule agent, is most suitable. In some cases, a truly novel therapy may be required, .e.g., anti-sense oligonucleotide therapy to suppress aberrant gene splicing or adoptive cellular therapy. My passion is to provide the best personalized therapy for our patients with allergy and immunology diseases. This often requires performing very specialized functional assays and in some cases in enlisting laboratories with specific expertise or interest in particular genetic disorders.

He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2018 in the lab of Dr. Sarah Fortune, where he studied post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Eli joined the Howitt lab at Stanford in the summer of 2018, where he is studying the influence of protozoan members of the microbiome on intestinal immunity.

    My work is about understanding and simulating complicated fluid flow problems. My research focuses on the design of highly accurate and efficient parallel computational methods to predict the performance of enhanced oil recovery methods. I'm particularly interested in gas injection and in-situ combustion processes. These recovery methods are extremely challenging to simulate because of the very strong nonlinearities in the governing equations. Outside petroleum engineering, I'm active in coastal ocean simulation with colleagues from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, yacht research and pterosaur flight mechanics with colleagues from the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and the design of search algorithms in collaboration with the Library of Congress and colleagues from the Institute of Computational and Mathematical Engineering.

    Teaching
    I teach courses in both energy related topics (reservoir simulation, energy, and the environment) in my department, and mathematics for engineers through the Institute of Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME). I also initiated two courses in professional development in our department (presentation skills and teaching assistant training), and a consulting course for graduate students in ICME, which offers expertise in computational methods to the Stanford community and selected industries.

    BioIshita Ghai is a health policy researcher that applies causal inference methods to understand how health behaviors are shaped through individual and group factors in low-resource settings. She mainly studies these empirical questions in the context of randomized controlled trials, or through evaluations leveraging exogenous shocks using quasi-experimental techniques. She has managed several pilot and large randomized controlled trials across sub-Saharan Africa studying the short and long-term effects of health interventions on health outcomes for women, children, and people living with HIV/AIDS. At Stanford, she will advance work on medicine policy specifically focused on the effects of the shingles vaccine on dementia risk among older populations.

    She completed her doctoral studies in policy analysis (economics concentration) at the RAND School of Public Policy, and holds an MBA from the University of California, Davis, an Ed.M. in international education policy from Harvard University, and a B.Tech in bioinformatics from VIT University.

    BioDr. Ghanouni is a board-certified, fellowship-trained diagnostic radiologist with Stanford Health Care Radiology. He is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Body MRI at Stanford University School of Medicine, and by courtesy, of Urology, of Neurosurgery, and of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

    Dr. Ghanouni is the director of the Stanford Health Care Minimally Invasive MR Interventional Center (MIMRIC) and the Focused Ultrasound Center of Excellence. He is also chief of the Division of Body MRI at Stanford University School of Medicine.

    Dr. Ghanouni is recognized around the world for his extensive expertise in using advanced imaging to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of conditions and disorders. As a renowned leader in diagnostic and MRI-guided interventional radiology, Dr. Ghanouni creates a customized care plan for each of his patients.

    Dr. Ghanouni’s research interests include the latest advances in MR-guided focused ultrasound techniques to treat essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, prostate cancer, bone tumors, desmoid tumors, and uterine fibroids. An experienced physician-scientist, Dr. Ghanouni has collaboratively led clinical trials and research initiatives that explore treatments for epilepsy, pancreatic cancer, and several types of tumors. Through these clinical trials, Dr. Ghanouni has helped secure FDA approval for many MR-guided focused ultrasound treatments.

    His articles have been published in dozens of peer-reviewed medical journals, including Lancet Oncology, Neurology, Investigative Radiology, European Radiology, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Journal of Neurosurgery, New England Journal of Medicine, and Radiology. Dr. Ghanouni has been invited to speak at conferences and symposiums all over the nation and the world, including in Rome, Italy; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is widely regarded for his groundbreaking research as well as his clinical expertise.

    Dr. Ghanouni is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound, and the European Focused Ultrasound Society.

    BioDr. Ghazi-Askar is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and, by courtesy, of Pediatrics and serves as the Director of Pediatric Ultrasound Education in the Department of Emergency Medicine . As an academic clinical educator in with expertise in pediatric and adult point-of-care ultrasound, Dr. Ghazi-Askar's clinical focus is on children and young adults who seek care in the pediatric emergency department. She is specialty-board certified in pediatric emergency medicine.

    At a national level, Dr. Ghazi-Askar is the Chair of Point-of-Care Ultrasound subcommittee for the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD), where she is leading the development of an educational curriculum for pediatric residency point-of-care ultrasound.

    Dr. Ghazi-Askar also has expertise in the field of Tele-ultrasound, where she is able to teach point-of-care ultrasound virtually where clinical expertise may otherwise not be available. Here she is able to provide education and health equity when it is most needed.

    BioDr. Ghazizadeh is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Stanford. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale before moving to Stanford to pursue fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
    Dr. Ghazizadeh's clinical interests focus on the management of complex cardiac arrhythmias. His research centers on developing computational and wet-lab platforms to study cardiac electrophysiology and the mechanisms underlying cardiac arrhythmias.
    His work integrates a broad range of systems, including human biobanks, genetically engineered human and animal models, and nontraditional model organisms, to uncover the molecular and physiological basis of cardiac arrhythmias. His research has been supported by NIH, AHA, and several Stanford University funding programs. As a clinician-scientist, his long-term goal is to translate these discoveries into improved risk stratification tools and novel therapeutic strategies to prevent and treat cardiac arrhythmias.

    BioTalayeh Ghezelayagh, M.D., M.P.H, is an Instructor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of San Francisco, CA School of Medicine and earned a master’s in public health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She then completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Washington.

    Dr. Ghezelayagh’s research focuses on improving cancer risk predictions and health outcomes in patients at increased familial or genetic risk of gynecologic cancers. She is a clinically active gynecologic oncologist but spends much of her clinical work counseling and treating patients at higher risk for developing gynecologic cancers.

    BioChandrayee Ghosh, PhD, is a Basic Life Research Scientist in the Department of Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine and has been working in the field of Cancer and Immunology, with specific training and expertise in cancer therapeutics and translational science pertaining to drug repurposing and novel formulations of natural compounds. She has authored and coauthored 9 peer reviewed original articles in high impact journals. Her work has received media coverage both nationally and internationally. She presented her works in more than 18 international conferences and is recipient of research awards for her work. Her scientific contribution includes ground breaking findings such as identifying novel functions of FDA approved compounds and their combinations in targeting and assessing their mechanism of actions in one of the deadliest endocrine cancers anaplastic thyroid cancer, discovery of the interaction KDM3A with DCLK-1 and their role in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tumorigenesis and stemness, identifying the cluster of master transcription factors or Super-Enhancers as novel targets for pancreatic cancer using novel formulation of natural compounds as anticancer agents.

    Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDuring the last five years, we have identified several small molecules that kill VHL deficient renal cancer cells through a synthetic lethal screening approach. Another major interest of my laboratory is in identifying hypoxia-induced genes involved in invasion and metastases. We are also investigating how hypoxia regulates gene expression epigenetically.

    BioDr. Giambarberi is a double-board-certified physician who completed her general psychiatry residency training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and her Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her past experience includes leading, creating, expanding, and providing neuropsychiatry education and care to communities across the southeast region.

    As a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford, Dr. Giambarberi supervises trainees in the Neuropsychiatry Section and the Individual Psychotherapy Clinic. Dr. Giambarberi's administrative duties include serving as director of the Movement Disorders Clinic and director of BNNP didactics, as well as overseeing neurology core rotations and elective rotations within the neuropsychiatry section.

    Dr. Giambarberi has extensive clinical experience with a diverse neuropsychiatric patient population, and her research is primarily grounded in education. She is also an active member and contributor to national and international neuropsychiatric organizations.

    BioSachi Gianchandani, MD, is a palliative care physician and neurologist at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, where she provides comprehensive care for veterans. Her current roles include providing neuropalliative care in the ALS Interdisciplinary Clinic and attending on the inpatient palliative care, hospice, and neurology services.

    She completed her medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, neurology residency at The Ohio State University, and palliative care fellowship at Stanford Health Care.

    BioIn contrast to bounded teams with static membership, dynamic teaming reflects the common challenge of interdisciplinary healthcare teams with changing rosters. Such dynamic collaboration is critical to addressing multi-faceted problems and individualizing care. At present, off the shelf interventions to improve the way healthcare teams work - often assume static and bounded teams. Dr Giannitrapani intends to leverage design approaches to build a new kind of healthcare “teaming intervention,” which respects the nature of their constantly changing membership and more closely aligns with how healthcare teams actually collaborate. Her expertise includes organizational behavior, building interdisciplinary teams, implementation science, mixed methods-research, quality improvement, pain and palliative care research, and global health.

    In addition to the Assistant Professor role in Division of Primary Care and Population Health at Stanford University School of Medicine she serves as the quality lead for the section of Palliative Medicine. She is also a Core Investigator at the Center for Innovation to Implementation (Ci2i) in the VA Palo Alto Health Care System and serves as PI or co-investigator on multiple ongoing studies representing over 25 million dollars of competitive government grant funding. She is also a Director of the VA Quality Improvement Resource Center (QuIRC) for Palliative Care, supporting Geriatrics and Extended Care programs for 170 Veterans Affairs facilities nationally. In QuIRC she leads a portfolio of projects on improving the processes that interdisciplinary teams can leverage to improve pain and symptom management among high-risk patients; a specific focus of their work is to bridge the gap of poor palliative care integration in the perioperative period.

    Dr Giannitrapani has given hundreds of presentations and have over 70 peer reviewed publications in high quality medical and health services delivery journals such as Medical Care, JAMA Surgery, the Journal of General Internal Medicine, the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management and Pain Medicine. She has received a 5-year VA Career Development Award on building better teams across disciplines and was an American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Research Scholar for related work.

    BioDr. Ruth Gibson, PhD, is a scholar at Stanford University. She holds appointments at the Center for Innovation and Global Health (CIGH) and the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC). Dr. Gibson’s research focuses on war, blockades, and sanctions and their impacts on maternal and child health. Her expertise is in geopolitically complex regions of the world, crises, and what all of this means for human health.

    Dr. Gibson’s research is published in internationally renowned outlets such as The Lancet and The Lancet Global Health. She publishes research on issues such as foreign aid withdrawal and impacts on mothers and children, humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, and sanctions against Iran. Her insights have been highlighted by The New York Times, The New Yorker, and TIME. Dr. Gibson responds quickly to producers, journalists, and media outlets seeking expert analysis of critical issues in war, peace, and human lives.

    She is currently co-leading a Lancet Series on Global Health and Foreign Engagement with Professor Gary Darmstadt. She leads worldwide international panels on critical issues in global health – geopolitical crisis and their impacts on health – through the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) and Stanford’s CIGH. Dr. Gibson collaborates with the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights to develop a universal monitoring system to assess the impact of sanctions on human rights. Her research has been cited in UN General Assembly meetings. She also worked on war crimes investigations with the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab and on the International Criminal Court's prosecution of war crimes.

    Dr. Gibson spent a decade working internationally, engaging in humanitarian and global health initiatives across eight countries on five continents – including conflict zones. Dr. Gibson is fluent in English and proficient in Mandarin Chinese (如詩 吉布森), French, and Spanish. She holds a postdoctoral fellowship from Stanford University, a PhD from the University of British Columbia, an Honors Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto.

    Current Research and Scholarly InterestsAstrocytes, microglia and neurons interact, and have unique vulnerabilities to injury based on their patterns of gene expression and their functional roles. We focus on the cellular and molecular basis of brain cell injury in stroke. We study the effects of altering miRNA expression, altering levels of heat shock and cell death regulatory proteins. Our goal is to improve outcome by improving mitochondrial function and brain cell survival, and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.

    BioAs a board-certified general pediatrician, child abuse pediatrician, and integrative medicine specialist, Dr. Gilgoff brings a multidisciplinary, whole-family approach to ACEs, toxic stress, healing, and well-being. She is currently an advisor with the California Aces Aware Initiative, UCLA-UCSF ACEs Aware Family Resilience Network (UCAAN), and the Center for Youth Wellness, a program of Safe and Sound, as well as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is the co-founder of the National Committee on Asthma and Toxic Stress and co-PI on “Systems-based, Multidisciplinary Assessment of Adversity and Toxic Stress for Individualized Care (The SYSTEMAATIC Project),” an ACEs and Precision Medicine research project through the California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine (CIAPM). She co-created the “Stress Busters: Clinical Strategies for Preventing and Mitigating Toxic Stress,” a free, on-line course to help clinicians develop their clinical response to childhood adversity and toxic stress. In tandem, she led the development of the ACEs Aware Stress Busters Resource Webpage, sharing tools and resources to prevent and heal toxic stress for all of us. Dr. Gilgoff is dedicated to conducting translational research and promoting patient-centered, individualized, multidisciplinary clinical care to address health issues resulting from child abuse and toxic stress.

    BioDr. Josh Gillard is a Canadian biomedical data scientist with experience in bioinformatics, machine learning, and immunology. After completing a BSc and a MSc in Experimental Medicine at McGill university, he relocated to the Netherlands for his PhD in bioinformatics at Radboud University in Nijmegen. During his PhD, he gained experience analyzing and interpreting complex immunological data (bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, high-dimensional cytometry, high-throughput proteomics) derived from human observational or intervention studies (vaccination and experimental human infection). This work revealed molecular and cellular correlates of clinically important endpoints such as disease severity, symptom progression, and antibody responses. In 2022, Josh relocated to Stanford to join the Gaudilliere lab to develop and apply multi-omic data integration and machine learning techniques, establishing that early gestational immune dysregulation can predict preterm birth. Since 2024, in the Ashley lab, Josh is developing deep learning models to investigate aberrant splicing in cardiovascular disease.

    After establishing and building the hospitalist and consult/liaison medicine service at the VA, Christophe now practices and teaches medical students and house staff in the primary care clinics there. He concurrently practices as a community psychotherapist and specializes in medical professionals. His central interest is the intersection of medicine and psychotherapy and, in particular, the application of psychological frameworks and skills to the practice of medicine, in addition to resiliency and burnout prevention. He developed the Medical Student Resiliency Skills Training program (MedReST) for the Stanford School of Medicine as well as the Resiliency Curriculum Series for the internal medicine residency program. He received as undergraduate degree in biology and psychology and an MD from the University of Virginia, completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford.

    Christophe received a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University. He has a private practice psychotherapy practice in Los Altos seeing adults and couples specializing in health care professionals (www.openpaththerapy.one). After completing a certificate in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy at the Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics, Christophe works as a Clinical Monitor at the Carhart-Harris Lab at UCSF and the Stanford Anesthesia Dream Project with the Heifets Lab, as well as a study physician at Open Mind Collective in San Francsico.

    Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the organization of cortical circuits important for spatial navigation and memory. We are particularly focused on medial entorhinal cortex, where many neurons fire in spatially specific patterns and thus offer a measurable output for molecular manipulations. We combine electrophysiology, genetic approaches and behavioral paradigms to unravel the mechanisms and behavioral relevance of non-sensory cortical organization. Our first line of research is focused on determining the cellular and molecular components crucial to the neural representation of external space by functionally defined cell types in entorhinal cortex (grid, border and head direction cells). We plan to use specific targeting of ion channels, combined with in vivo tetrode recordings, to determine how channel dynamics influence the neural representation of space in the behaving animal. A second, parallel line of research, utilizes a combination of in vivo and in vitro methods to further parse out ionic expression patterns in entorhinal cortices and determine how gradients in ion channels develop. Ultimately, our work aims to understand the ontogenesis and relevance of medial entorhinal cortical topography in spatial memory and navigation.

    BioDr. Nicole Gladish is a Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University. Her work integrates genetic, epigenetic, and population-level data to understand how biological and environmental factors interact to shape health disparities and influence trajectories of healthy aging. In addition to exploring molecular mechanisms, she conducts applied research on health policy interventions developing and refining tools like deprivation indices to inform equitable decision-making at the systems level.

    Dr. Gladish earned her Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from the University of British Columbia (UBC), where her thesis focused on how early-life adversity, such as low socioeconomic status and abuse, affects DNA methylation patterns. This work aimed to elucidate the biological mechanisms that predispose individuals to chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer.

    At Stanford, she continues to investigate the interplay between social determinants and biological risk, with a growing emphasis on translational research. Her development of improved social deprivation indices supports more accurate identification of disadvantaged communities, informing public health funding, service allocation, and structural interventions across the U.S.
