Zachary M. Sellers, MD, PhD

BioDr. Sellers is a pediatric physician-scientist and research and clinical development consultant. As a pediatric gastroenterologist and ion channel physiologist, Dr. Sellers' work in academia and pharma over the last 20 years has focused on improving the lives of individuals with complex and rare diseases through providing cutting-edge clinical care and advancing research and drug development. Dr. Sellers previously led a basic and translational research laboratory at Stanford, focused on epithelial ion transport and acid-base regulation using a variety of human and animal models. He is a firm believer in the exponential impact of team science and is adept working in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams. He seeks out strategic partnerships and opportunities that can leverage his expertise and leadership to advance innovative therapies for areas of high unmet need and to support the development of the next generation of physician-scientists. Dr. Sellers received his BS (Animal Physiology and Neuroscience) and BA (Japanese Studies) from the University of California. San Diego, his MD and PhD (Molecular and Integrative Physiology) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and was trained in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Stanford, where he was previously a faculty member and attending physician. He held multiple leadership positions at Stanford, including Associate Chief of Research in Gastroenterology, Director of the Stanford Children's Pancreas Program, Lead Gastroenterologist for the CF Program, Director of the CFTR Phenotyping and Theratyping Program, and Physician-Scientist Advisor for the Pediatrics Residency Program.

Mohammed Abdul Saqhlain Shaik

BioSaqhlain is a Research Assistant at the Byers Eye Institute, where he applies his expertise in data science and statistical analysis to ophthalmic research. He holds a master’s degree in Statistics - Data Science from Cal State University East Bay and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Hyderabad, India.
His work focuses on data analysis, management, and standardization of ophthalmic imaging data to support clinical research. Edward Sheen

BioDr. Edward Sheen is Chief Quality and Population Health Executive at L.A. Care. Serving more than 2.9 million members, L.A. Care is the largest publicly operated health plan in the country. As a public entity, its mission is to provide access to quality care for vulnerable and low-income communities and to elevate the safety net. Previously, he was Chief Population Health Officer, Senior Vice President at Health Catalyst and Chief Medical Officer, Market Development and Solution Design at Lumeris, a leading value-based care technology and services operator as well as 4.5-5.0 Star Medicare Advantage plan. He has worked with health systems and payers across the country to improve health outcomes, enhance patient experience, strengthen care provider engagement, reduce costs of care, and accelerate their journey towards accountable care. He is dedicated to achieving accessible, equitable, person-centered, and high-performing care for all.
Dr. Sheen’s experience has bridged the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors and additionally includes work with Stanford University, the White House, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, California State Assembly, Kaiser Family Foundation, Blue Shield, California and American Medical Associations, Genzyme, and early-stage companies. In 2014, he was one of 15 Americans appointed by President Obama a nonpartisan White House Fellow. He subsequently served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Defense Department senior health policy advisor and was a recipient of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service. Dr. Sheen was a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He currently serves on the National Advisory Council on the National Health Service Corps, which advises the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the California Department of Public Health Office of Health Equity Advisory Committee. He is Adjunct Professor of Medicine and Global Health Faculty Fellow at Stanford. He has a long-standing active commitment to mentoring, teaching, and medical education.
Dr. Sheen completed his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training at Stanford, received his MD from the University of California, San Francisco, and earned his MBA and MPH through scholarships at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard School of Public Health, where he was also a Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership Zuckerman Fellow. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University (B.A. Public Policy) with induction into Phi Beta Kappa. -
Linxi Shi

BioI am a medical physicist and imaging scientist with over a decade of experience in CT imaging, algorithm development, and AI-driven reconstruction. I earned my Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I developed novel artifact corrections and reconstruction algorithms for cone beam computed tomography, focusing on applications in breast cancer diagnosis and image-guided radiation therapy.
Following my doctoral studies, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Stanford Cancer Imaging Training (SCIT) Program. Currently, I serves as a Senior Research Scientist in the Radiological Sciences Laboratory at Stanford University. My research focuses on developing advanced clinical translational x-ray and CT imaging systems, including algorithm design for tomographic reconstruction, artifact correction, and image processing for various imaging modalities. -
