BioMargarita is an MD student born in Colombia and raised in Miami, FL. While formerly undocumented and unstably housed, she personally experienced the downstream effects of a broken healthcare system, motivating her to pursue an MPH at Northwestern and to work on diversity initiatives at Stanford. Nowadays, Margarita is interested in reproductive psychiatry and integrated behavioral health, and aspires to address the health inequities which most deeply affect minorities in the United States.

BioI am an MS student, pursuing robotics at Stanford University. I am particularly interested in AI applications to autonomous mobility. My work at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has spanned the intersection of computer vision, SLAM and controls for self-driving, drones and healthcare. I have served as the CTO of Autonomous systems at IIT Bombay Racing Driverless, leading a team of 100+ students in building self-driving race cars for Formula Student, United Kingdom.
Leading multiple teams throughout my education has allowed me to hone my teamwork and management skills, while staying deeply involved in engineering and technology. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsCompared to the technical advancements in AI, the area of technical AI ethics is significantly understudied. Novel, complex autonomous systems are being developed without devoting enough time to their potential negative implications and how they can be mitigated. Given the increasing use of such systems throughout society, this discrepancy sparked Anka's interest in contributing to research in responsible AI, both from a technical and a governance perspective.

Frances Reuland

BioFran, from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is a PhD student in Energy Science & Engineering at Stanford University. She completed her MS in the same department in 2025 and is a 2023 Knight Hennessy Scholar. Before becoming a Stanford student, she spent three years at the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) in Boulder, Colorado working on decarbonization solutions for the oil and gas sector. She has a particular focus on methane detection, mitigation, and policy solutions. Prior to RMI, she held a position at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, France working to support IEA's work on methane from the petroleum sector.
She is a graduate and varsity women's soccer player of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Fran earned a B.S. with High Honors in Environmental Science, a Chemistry minor, and a B.A. in Spanish. She has continued her love for competitive soccer career playing in France, Colorado, and California. -
