Amin Etemad, MBA, SSGB
Quality Programs Manager, Surgery
BioAmin Etemad holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from HEC Montréal and an MBA in Medical Management from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, earned in 2008. He began his career as an Operations Manager at Amazon’s MSP5 fulfillment center in Shakopee, MN, before moving to Allina Health, where he served as a Process Improvement Manager within the supply chain team. Amin later transitioned to a central Quality Improvement role at Allina, where he contributed to Minnesota’s COVID-19 surge planning for the ED and ICU in 2020.
In the fall of 2020, Amin joined Stanford Health as a Quality Improvement Project Manager in Radiology. In 2023, he moved to the School of Medicine, where he now leads the quality improvement team in the Department of Surgery.
Outside of work, Amin is passionate about tennis, soccer, and music—playing both acoustic guitar and a traditional string instrument called the Santoor. He is fluent in five languages, having lived on three continents and in five countries. Raised in a family of over 10 medical professionals, Amin has a deep love for travel, exploring new cultures, and experiencing diverse cuisines. -

BioBree Evans is a Wildfire Policy Legal Fellow with Stanford Law School Environmental & Natural Resources Law & Policy Program and the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment’s Climate and Energy Policy Program (CEPP). Prior to joining the team she represented Tribes and tribal organizations while based out of the Washington, D.C. office of Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker. While in law school, she interned with the Office of Tribal Justice (OTJ) at the United States Department of Justice, with the International Section of the General Counsel’s Office of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and with the General Counsel’s Office of the Institute of Museum & Library Services. She is passionate about environmental and cultural heritage management, particularly in our public lands.

Raj Fadadu

BioRaj Fadadu is currently a dermatology resident physician at the University of California, San Diego. He has experience conducting epidemiology research projects, particularly related to environmental exposures and skin diseases (e.g., atopic dermatitis and psoriasis) as well as epigenetics (e.g., EWAS and epigenetic age acceleration). At Stanford, his research in Dr. Andres Cardenas's group focuses on the relationship between environmental exposures and epigenetic modifications. He also held leadership roles in local and national organizations involved in climate change advocacy and education, working to improve community and patient health. In addition, he is a strong advocate for health equity and increasing access to medical care for people experiencing homelessness and has implemented innovative projects to do so while serving as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow and Director of student-run free clinics in Berkeley, CA. For his impactful work, he was named an Environmental Education "30 Under 30" in 2022 and received the Excellence in Climate Leadership Award from the American Public Health Association in 2022 and Emerging Physician Leader Award from Health Care Without Harm in 2021.
He received a M.D. from UC San Francisco, M.S. degree in Health and Medical Sciences (with concentrations in Environmental Research and Healthcare Management) from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and received a B.A. degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley (graduated with Highest Distinction and Research Honors). -
Muneeb A. Faiq

BioDr. Muneeb A. Faiq is a behavioral and metabolic neuroscientist and ophthalmology researcher whose work spans molecular biology, neuroimaging, and systems neuroscience. He has made several foundational contributions, including the first functional cloning of CYP1B1 in congenital glaucoma, implicating retinoic-acid signaling in Zika virus–associated microcephaly, identifying central insulin resistance as a mechanistic basis for glaucoma, and providing the first in vivo evidence for a glymphatic pathway in the optic nerve. With more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and over 4,000 citations, Dr. Faiq has earned international recognition, including the Emerging Vision Scientist Award – 2019 from the Alliance for Eye and Vision Research. He is widely regarded as the pioneer and principal architect of the discipline of psychosomatic ophthalmology, a field he helped conceptualize and establish, leading to the integration of ophthalmic clinical practice with mindfulness-based and psychosomatic medicine frameworks. Dr. Faiq is currently advancing the concept of neurometabolic syntax in vision and brain function — a unifying systems-level framework that integrates genetics, metabolism, and behavior to reconceptualize ophthalmic and neurological diseases through a mechanistic and interdisciplinary lens. He has been selected for the prestigious Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Achievement Award 2026.

Chairs, Faculty, Researchers, Staff and Facilities to optimize layouts for appx. 2M square feet of space as adjustments are needed to offices, labs, and teaching spaces across the campuses of Stanford University. I work with consultants, designers, project managers, furniture vendors, movers and others to determine the optimal solutions. After 30+ years of being in architectural firms working with educational institutions, I'm thrilled to be inside that setting and contributing to the success of the School of Medicine.

BioHumera co-directs the University Innovation Fellows Program. She trains students to create lasting institutional impact that enhances the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus.
Prior to the University Innovation Fellows program, she worked for nonprofit VentureWell and led the creation of numerous programs including the organization’s first foray in advanced venture training workshops, which today account for over half of the 501c(3)’s income. Before that, she created innovation networks between industry and the University of Massachusetts Amherst under an NSF Partnership for Innovation grant.
Humera began her career at the publicly-traded UK firm Rexam, serving as product manager in their precision coated materials subsidiary. Humera holds an M.B.A. from UMass Amherst and a B.S. from Smith College. -

Mohsen Fathzadeh
Genomic Scientist, Institute For International Studies, Loyalka, Prashant's Program
BioMohsen Fathzadeh is a medical geneticist with 20+ years of experience bridging science, care, and innovation.
His academic journey began at Yale University, where he completed his Ph.D. thesis under Prof. Arya Mani, focusing on a genetic form of familial Metabolic Syndrome. From 2015 to 2021, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine, Psychiatry, and Public Health Sciences. During this tenure, he conducted comprehensive functional genomic analyses under the mentorship of esteemed professors.
Mohsen's collaborative efforts with Merck & Co., Inc. led to the identification of a gene regulator associated with body fat distribution. His research scope also includes the characterization of genes linked to insulin resistance and obesity. Recently, he explored the (epi)genetic link between newborn body fat distribution and high maternal gestational glucose levels, focusing on mother-child cohorts from diverse and underserved communities.
His primary goal is to utilize his findings to enhance our understanding of the genes and evolutionary pathways influencing healthspan and age-related diseases, thereby improving patient lives.
After completing his postdoctoral research in 2021, Mohsen spent two years in the biotech industry, specializing in genetic testing and variant assessment. He has an ongoing research project with Stanford's Population Health Center, studying epigenetic disease mechanisms in mother-child cohorts.
Mohsen recently joined Stanford's Graduate School of Education and the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies to work with Prof. Prashant Loyalka on a pioneering study that explores how educational interventions in genetic counseling can empower families—particularly in the context of autism spectrum disorders. This new chapter reflects his deepening commitment to integrating genomic science with public health education, leveraging AI and evidence-based learning to promote equity, early intervention, and informed decision-making across diverse populations. As the field of genetic counseling evolves, Mohsen envisions a future where accessible education and responsible innovation in educational AI can help every individual—and every story—be seen, heard, and supported.

Loredana Fattorini

BioLoredana is a Research Manager at Stanford's Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), where she spearheads the flagship AI Index in close collaboration with the AI Index Lead. She leads a dedicated team of students and researchers and directs the data-driven analysis behind the AI Index annual report and the Global AI Vibrancy tool. By leveraging advanced data analysis, Loredana translates the complex, rapidly evolving artificial intelligence landscape into accessible, actionable insights for global policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and the general public.
Loredana holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy, where she conducted empirical research in Industrial Organization and International Trade. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors in Economics from the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Italy.
Prior to joining Stanford HAI, Loredana served as a Visiting Researcher at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (WiiW), investigating the competitiveness of European firms for a project funded by the Austrian National Bank. Her diverse background also includes experience driving data strategy as a Data Analyst for a high-growth eCommerce startup, managing online sales for Europe's largest food retail cooperative. -
