David Camarillo

BioDavid B. Camarillo is Associate Professor of Bioengineering, (by courtesy) Mechanical Engineering and Neurosurgery at Stanford University. Dr. Camarillo holds a B.S.E in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and completed postdoctoral fellowships in Biophysics at the UCSF and Biodesign Innovation at Stanford. Dr. Camarillo worked in the surgical robotics industry at Intuitive Surgical and Hansen Medical, before launching his laboratory at Stanford in 2012. His current research focuses on precision human measurement for multiple clinical and physiological areas including the brain, heart, lungs, and reproductive system. Dr. Camarillo has been awarded the Hellman Fellowship, the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program award, among other honors including multiple best paper awards in brain injury and robotic surgery. His research has been funded by the NIH, NSF, DoD, as well as corporations and private philanthropy. His lab’s research has been featured on NPR, the New York Times, The Washington Post, Science News, ESPN, and TED.com as well as other media outlets aimed at education of the public.

Emmanuel Candes

BioEmmanuel Candès is the Barnum-Simons Chair in Mathematics and Statistics, a professor of electrical engineering (by courtesy) and a member of the Institute of Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University. Earlier, Candès was the Ronald and Maxine Linde Professor of Applied and Computational Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology. His research interests are in computational harmonic analysis, statistics, information theory, signal processing and mathematical optimization with applications to the imaging sciences, scientific computing and inverse problems. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from Stanford University in 1998.
Candès has received several awards including the Alan T. Waterman Award from NSF, which is the highest honor bestowed by the National Science Foundation, and which recognizes the achievements of early-career scientists. He has given over 60 plenary lectures at major international conferences, not only in mathematics and statistics but in many other areas as well including biomedical imaging and solid-state physics. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences and to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2014. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy research focuses on transatlantic modernism, citizenship, and print culture. My book project, which was chosen for the 2019 Penn State First Book Institute, argues that the bureaucratic and literary documents of interwar itinerancy–including passports, travel ephemera, and newspapers–shape expatriation as a distinct mode of national belonging.

Brian Cantwell

BioProfessor Cantwell's research interests are in the area of turbulent flow. Recent work has centered in three areas: the direct numerical simulation of turbulent shear flows, theoretical studies of the fine-scale structure of turbulence, and experimental measurements of turbulent structure in flames. Experimental studies include the development of particle-tracking methods for measuring velocity fields in unsteady flames and variable density jets. Research in turbulence simulation includes the development of spectral methods for simulating vortex rings, the development of topological methods for interpreting complex fields of data, and simulations of high Reynolds number compressible and incompressible wakes. Theoretical studies include predictions of the asymptotic behavior of drifting vortex pairs and vortex rings and use of group theoretical methods to study the nonlinear dynamics of turbulent fine-scale motions. Current projects include studies of fast-burning fuels for hybrid propulsion and decomposition of nitrous oxide for space propulsion.

Toni Qian Cao, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor, Adult Neurology
BioDr. Toni Qian Cao is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neuro-oncologist with Stanford Health Care.
Dr. Cao specializes in caring for brain and spine tumors, including low grade glioma and glioblastoma. She also has expertise in cancer that has spread (metastasized) to parts of the central nervous system (CNS), such as the brain and the tissues that surround the brain and spinal cord (leptomeninges). She is committed to providing the highest quality care while prioritizing the goals and needs of her patients. She offers compassionate treatment and cancer management, with deep knowledge of tumor therapies and neurological complications of cancer.
Dr. Cao’s research focuses on improving the identification and treatment of brain tumors and metastases. She has investigated factors that impact the development of brain metastases from breast cancer, as well as treatment for leptomeningeal metastases from breast cancer. She has studied combination treatments for glioblastoma, a type of malignant brain tumor. She is also interested in novel neuroimaging techniques for both primary and metastatic CNS tumors.
Dr. Cao has published her research in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Neuro-Oncology; Neurology; and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. She has also written a book chapter on common early symptoms of CNS metastases.
Dr. Cao has presented her findings nationally at annual meetings of the American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and Society for Neuro-Oncology. She has also spoken on panels and at regional conferences, including the Annual NeuroTech Convention of Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics.

Mark A. Cappelli
Professor of Mechanical Engineering
BioProfessor Cappelli received his B.Sc. degree in Physics (McGill, 1980), and M.A.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Sciences (Toronto, 1983, 1987). He joined Stanford University in 1987 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Co-Director of the Engineering Physics Program. He carries out research in applied plasma physics with applications to a broad range of fields, including space propulsion, aerodynamics, medicine, materials synthesis, and fusion.

Wilson Captein, PhD

BioDr. Wilson Captein is a fellowship-trained psychologist with Stanford Health Care. He is also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Captein specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). He adapts these therapies for patients with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and related disorders. He also tailors these treatment modalities to patients in the LGBTQ+ community by focusing on the impact of minority stress. Across all treatment modalities, he emphasizes compassion-focused therapy that prioritizes the therapeutic relationship via transparency, genuineness, and a non-hierarchical, collaborative dynamic.
Dr. Captein’s research interests include sexual identity, sexual health, and alternative sexualities. He has presented to peers at national and international conferences, including annual meetings for the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and the Midwestern Psychological Association. -
Andres Cardenas

BioI am an environmental epidemiologist and serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University. I joined the faculty at Stanford School of Medicine in 2022.
My research focuses on characterizing molecular and epigenetic biomarkers and the extent to which these alterations contribute to disease risk throughout the life course. My group utilizes computational approaches to investigate environmental chemical mixtures, biological aging markers and fetal epigenetic programming. We have several studies looking at chemical and non-chemical stressors in early-life and subsequent health including; neurodevelopment, obesity and immune function.
My research examines the intersection of chemical and social environments in shaping health and disease. -
Holly Caretta-Weyer
Clinical Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine
BioHolly Caretta-Weyer is currently Associate Dean for Admissions and Assessment at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She is additionally the Director of Assessment for the Department of Emergency Medicine and Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee. Dr. Caretta-Weyer attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha with Honors in Research. She loved being a Badger so much that she stayed for her Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Wisconsin where she was also Chief Resident. Dr. Caretta-Weyer then moved to the West Coast where she completed her Medical Education Scholarship Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and completed her Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) at the University of Illinois-Chicago. She is currently a PhD candidate at Maastricht University studying postgraduate selection in a competency-based system with an anticipated completion date in 2025.
While at OHSU, Dr. Caretta-Weyer worked as a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Core Entrustable Professional Activities for Entering Residency pilot team and was a founding member of the OHSU undergraduate medical education entrustment committee. She continues to be involved with the national AAMC Core EPA Pilot through her continued collaboration with the OHSU team. Through this process she has gained valuable experience in working to define programmatic assessment, formulate summative entrustment decisions, and more seamlessly bridge the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education, all of which are key initiatives within medical education.
Dr. Caretta-Weyer is also the PI on a $1.3M AMA Reimagining Residency Grant focused on implementing competency-based education and redesigning assessment across the continuum of emergency medicine training and introducing predictive learning analytics to the process. She is a former Visiting Scholar with the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) examining summative entrustment decision-making by competency committees and its implications for initial certification. She is additionally a member of the International Competency-Based Medical Education (ICBME) Collaborators, a group that seeks to further research on CBME around the world. Finally, Dr. Caretta-Weyer was recently elected as the inaugural Chair of the CBME Task Force for Emergency Medicine. Her work led the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to recognize her as the International Medical Educator of the Year in 2022. She also recently was a keynote speaker for the American Board of Medical Specialties and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine's annual meetings.
Dr. Caretta-Weyer's education research interests focus on the implementation of competency-based education and assessment across the continuum of medical education, summative entrustment and promotion decision-making processes, residency selection in a competency-based system, and the development of learner handovers to span key transitions in the educational continuum. When not focusing on her administrative work and education research, Dr. Caretta-Weyer can be found kayaking, hiking, cycling, playing volleyball, or cheering on her favorite sports teams including the Marquette Golden Eagles and Milwaukee Brewers. -
Jan Carette

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsOur research focuses on the identification of host genes that play critical roles in the pathogenesis of infectious agents including viruses. We use CRISPR genetic screens in human cells as an efficient approach to perform loss-of-function studies. Besides obtaining fundamental insights on how viruses hijack cellular processes and on host defense mechanisms, it may also facilitate the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Matteo Cargnello

BioMatteo Cargnello received his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology in 2012 at the University of Trieste, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Fornasiero, and he was then a post-doctoral scholar in the Chemistry Department at the University of Pennsylvania with Prof. Christopher B. Murray before joining the Faculty at Stanford University in January 2015. He is currently Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and, by courtesy, of Materials Science and Engineering and Silas Palmer Faculty Scholar. Dr. Cargnello is the recipient of several awards including the Sloan Fellowship in 2018, the Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award for Creative Work in 2020, and the Early Career Award in Catalysis from the ACS Catalysis Division in 2022. The general goals of the research in the Cargnello group pertain to solving energy and environmental challenges. The group focuses on capture and conversion of carbon dioxide, emission control and reduction of methane and hydrocarbon emissions in the atmosphere, sustainable chemical practices through electro- and photocatalysis, sustainable production of hydrogen, and chemical recycling of plastics.

Eve Carlson
Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioEve Carlson is a Clinical Professor who focuses on fostering mental health after traumatic stress. She is a clinical psychologist and a researcher with the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder’s Dissemination and Training Division. Her primary interests are in measurement development and recovery after traumatic stress. She collaborates with faculty in Surgery (David Spain) and Medicine (Lisa Shieh) to study mental health of patients hospitalized after sudden, severe illness or injury, ethnoracial disparities in traumatic stress risks and responses, screening for risk of mental health problems, and preventive mental health care. Our research has found disparities in mental health responses in patients hospitalized after emergency care across ethnoracial groups that are explained by variance in risk factors, including social determinants of health. As PIs of a multi-center study funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, Dr. Carlson and Dr. Spain and their collaborators have developed and validated a mental health risk screen for patients hospitalized after emergency care for acute illness or injury. Data from patients who identify as Asian American/Pacific Islander, Black, Latinx, multirace, and White were analyzed to inform screen development, and the screen accurately predicts later mental health outcomes within these ethnoracial groups. The Hospital Mental Health Risk Screen can be administered to patients hospitalized after emergency care to assess their risk for later mental health problems. Patients screening positive for mental health risk can be given preventive mental health care. Dr. Carlson has collaborated with Dr. Josef Ruzek and Dr. Matthew Cordova to create the TLC by recently admitted hospital patients reduces later mental health symptoms.

Research in meta-analysis includes the performance of meta-analysis in a wide variety of settings in cancer treatment by the international Meta-Analysis Group in Cancer.

BioKai Carlson-Wee is the author of RAIL (BOA Editions, 2018). He has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and his work has appeared in Ploughshares, Best New Poets, AGNI, New England Review, Gulf Coast, and The Missouri Review, which awarded him the 2013 Editor’s Prize. His photography has been featured in Narrative Magazine, and his poetry film, Riding the Highline, received the Jury Award at the 2015 Napa Valley Film Festival. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, he lives in San Francisco and is a lecturer at Stanford University.

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsDr. Carmichael is a perinatal and nutritional epidemiologist and Professor of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Her team is committed to finding ways to improve maternal and infant health outcomes and equity by leading research that identifies effective leverage points for change, from upstream 'macro' social and structural factors, to downstream clinical factors (eg, related to care and morbidities) through a collaborative research approach that integrates epidemiologic approaches with community engagement and systems thinking.
Exposure themes include social context, nutrition, care, environmental contaminants and genetics. Outcome themes include severe maternal morbidity, stillbirth, birth defects, and preterm delivery. She is particularly interested in understanding the intersectionality of these varied types of exposures and outcomes and how they interact to impact health and health disparities, for the mother-baby dyad.

She then completed Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency training at Indiana University where she served as Chief Resident. BioDr. Carrillo is an emergency physician with expertise in prehospital emergency care. He is board certified in Emergency Medical Services and is a medical director for the Santa Clara County Fire Department and Milpitas Fire Department. He is the director of prehospital education at Stanford which includes the education of resident physicians and paramedics/EMTs throughout the region. He currently serves as a medical team manager for Urban Search And Rescue, Task Force-3, based out of Menlo Park, CA, a team that deploys to local and national disasters requiring complex search and rescue in confined spaces. He serves as the base hospital medical director in support of Stanford's designation as the single source for EMS communication/consultation in San Mateo County.
Dr. Carrillo's research interests include the role of physicians in prehospital care, mobile integrated healthcare, cardiac arrest outcomes, and health disparities in EMS care.
He serves as the clinical and academic advisor for numerous medical students, residents, and EMS Fellows. -

BioLaura L. Carstensen is Professor of Psychology at Stanford University where she is the Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. Professor in Public Policy and founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity. Her research on the theoretical and empirical study of motivational, cognitive, and emotional aspects of aging has been funded continuously by the National Institute on Aging for more than 30 years. Carstensen is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She served on the MacArthur Foundation’s Research Network on an Aging Society and was a commissioner on the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity. Carstensen’s awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Kleemeier Award, The Richard Kalish Award for Innovative Research and distinguished mentor awards from both the Gerontological Society of America and the American Psychological Association. She is the author of A Long Bright Future: Happiness, Health, and Financial Security in an Age of Increased Longevity. Carstensen received her B.S. from the University of Rochester and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University. She holds honorary doctorates from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and the University of Rochester.

Monica Carvalho Gimenes

BioMônica Carvalho Gimenes is a Lecturer in Portuguese at the Stanford Language Center. With over 10 years of experience in language and literature instruction, she integrates her expertise in Brazilian and broader Latin American literatures into her teaching practice. In the Portuguese-language classroom, she fosters collaborative spaces for cultural and linguistic exploration.
She is currently working on her first book, Writing Life: Creating Resistance to Feminicidal Violence in Latin America. The book examines how 21st-century Latin American writers and artists respond to ongoing violence against women. Drawing on decolonial feminist theories, she treats feminicide as a complex concept that encompasses different forms of violence affecting women and reveals how gender operates in Latin America. Her analysis focuses on novels, short stories, and other creative works that humanize women targeted by violence and create space for mourning and resistance. These works mobilize imagination, defamiliarizing readers from dominant narratives that make such violence seem ordinary or inevitable.
Before joining Stanford University, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Boston University. She earned her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2024 and is a double alumna of Florida Atlantic University (M.A. '15, B.A. '13). Her pedagogical excellence was recognized in 2021 with UC Berkeley's Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award. -

Casady is a Senior Research Engineer in the Center for Sustainable Development and Global Competitiveness at Stanford University and a non-resident Senior Fellow in the Center for Transportation Public-Private Partnership Policy at George Mason University. As part of the Stanford Long Term Investing (SLTI) initiative, his research broadly focuses on the governance of long-term investments in infrastructure, particularly via public-private partnerships (PPPs). Current Research and Scholarly InterestsResearch in the Cegelski laboratory is driven by the need to uncover and define the chemistry that underlies outstanding challenges in human health, the environment, and sustainability. Beyond discovery, we use chemistry as a tool to innovate and create solutions to these pressing problems. The laboratory is highly interdisciplinary, designing experimental approaches to understand how complex biological systems are built, organized, and controlled, and then perturb and influence assembly processes. The lab develops new methods and uniquely leverages: (1) small molecules in new biochemical assay development, chemical genetics approaches, and therapeutic discovery in infectious diseases, (2) fluorescence and electron microscopy coupled to analytical HPLC, mass spectrometry, and complementary biochemical techniques, and (3) spectroscopy, particularly solid-state NMR, to uncover new “dark matter” and define chemistry in insoluble, heterogeneous and complex assemblies relevant to human health, plants, and the ocean.
Long-standing efforts in the laboratory focus on defining mechanisms underlying bacterial biofilm formation and identifying new antibiotic and anti-virulence strategies, including advancing therapeutic candidates for the most difficult-to-treat infections. Through these efforts, we uncovered a new chemical structure in nature: phosphoethanolamine (pEtN) cellulose. Cellulose is the most abundant biopolymer on earth and this discovery provided the first experimental validation of a naturally produced chemically modified cellulose. We are developing alternatively modified celluloses and polysaccharides and advancing new solutions for ecofriendly, sustainably sourced, and recyclable materials. Collectively, our projects span disciplines from molecular structure and assembly chemistry to living microbial communities and natural marine systems, while aiming to translate fundamental discoveries into therapeutic and materials solutions. -

Hsien-Hwa Alice Cha

BioDr. Hsien-Hwa Alice Cha is a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Division of Hospital Medicine in the School of Medicine. A Bay Area native, she received her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley with Honors in Molecular Cell Biology - Biochemistry. She completed her medical education at New York Medical College and her Internal Medicine Residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara in 2016. She joined the Division of Hospital Medicine at Stanford Health-Care in Tri-Valley in 2016 as a hospitalist. She led the Tri-Valley Section as Section Chief from 2020-2023, during which she expanded the section’s clinical capabilities to include orthopedic pre-op care, and dedicated nocturnal care with nocturnists. Her interest in medical education led her to co-found Stanford Health-Care Tri-Valley’s Clinical Academy in 2019, a program designed for high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring medicine as a career. She was the recipient of the Department of Medicine’s Teaching Award for the Tri-Valley Division in 2022. Her other interests include clinical implications of metals, opioid stewardship, bioethics, undergraduate medical education, and physician leadership development.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two young children, cooking toddler meals, and watching crime dramas. -
Chris Chafe

BioChris Chafe is a composer, improvisor, and cellist, developing much of his music alongside computer-based research. He is Director of Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). In 2019, he was International Visiting Research Scholar at the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies The University of British Columbia, Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Torino, and Edgard-Varèse Guest Professor at the Technical University of Berlin. At IRCAM (Paris) and The Banff Centre (Alberta), he has pursued methods for digital synthesis, music performance and real-time internet collaboration. CCRMA's jacktrip project involves live concertizing with musicians the world over. Online collaboration software and research into latency factors continue to evolve. An active performer either on the net or physically present, his music reaches audiences in sometimes novel venues. An early network project was a simultaneous five-country concert was hosted at the United Nations in 2009. Chafe’s works include gallery and museum music installations which are now into their second decade with “musifications” resulting from collaborations with artists, scientists and MD’s. Recent work includes the Earth Symphony, the Brain Stethoscope project (Gnosisong), PolarTide for the 2013 Venice Biennale, Tomato Quintet for the transLife:media Festival at the National Art Museum of China and Sun Shot played by the horns of large ships in the port of St. Johns, Newfoundland.

Enrique Chagoya
Professor of Art and Art History
BioDrawing from his experiences living on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border in the late 70’s, and also in Europe in the late 90’s, Enrique Chagoya juxtaposes secular, popular, and religious symbols in order to address the ongoing cultural clash between the United States, Latin America and the world as well. He uses familiar pop icons to create deceptively friendly points of entry for the discussion of complex issues. Through these seemingly harmless characters Chagoya examines the recurring subject of colonialism and oppression that continues to riddle contemporary American foreign policy.
Chagoya was born and raised in Mexico City. His father, a bank employee by day and artist by night, encouraged his interest in art by teaching Chagoya color theory and how to sketch at a very early age. As a young adult, Chagoya enrolled in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where he studied political economy and contributed political cartoons to union newsletters. He relocated to Veracruz and directed a team focused on rural-development projects, a time he describes as “an incredible growing experience…[that] made me form strong views on what was happening outside in the world.” This growing political awareness would later surface in Chagoya’s art. At age 26, Chagoya moved to Berkeley, California and began working as a free-lance illustrator and graphic designer. Disheartened by what he considered to be the narrow political scope of economics programs in local colleges, Chagoya turned his interests to art. He enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute, where he earned a BFA in printmaking in 1984. He then pursued his MA and MFA at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1987. He moved to San Francisco in 1995. He has been exhibitng his work nationally and internationally for over two decades with a major retrospective organized by the Des Moines Art Center in Iowa in 2007 that traveled to UC Berkelye Art Museum and to the Palms Spring Art Museum in 2008 ( fully illustrated bilingual catalog was published). In the Fall of 2013, a major survey of his work opened at Centro Museum ARTIUM, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital city of the Basque Country, near Bilbao, Spain (with a trilingual catalog documenting the exhibition). The exhibition will travel to the CAAM in the Canary Islands in 2015.
He is currently Full Professor at Stanford University’s department of Art and Art History and his work can be found in many public collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Metropolitan museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco among others. He has been recipient of numerous awards such as two NEA artists fellowships, one more from the National Academy of Arts and Letters in New York, residencies at Giverny and Cite Internationale des Arts in France, and a Tiffany fellowship to mention a few.

A predictive understanding of the hydrodynamic, biotic, and non-equilibrium aspects of this sinking microbial ecosystem is a notoriously challenging and globally relevant problem and is the central theme of my research at Stanford University. I’m applying my training as a physicist to shed light on the dynamical aspects of microbial life in the ocean, and to contribute insights that can help mitigate the negative impact of human activities on global climate; something I feel strongly about.

I use stable and radiogenic isotopes to understand Earth system history. These studies examine the link between climate, tectonics, biological, and surface processes. Projects include: 1) examining the terrestrial climate history of the Earth focusing on periods of time in the past that had CO 2-levels similar to the present and to future projections; and 2) addressing how the chemical weathering of the Earth's crust affects both the long- and short-term carbon cycle. Field areas for these studies are in the Cascades, Rocky Mountains, Sierra Nevada, the European Alps, Tibet and the Himalaya and the Southern Alps of New Zealand.
International Collaborations
Much of the research that I do has an international component. Specifically, I have collaborations with: 1) the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Center in Frankfurt Germany as a Humboldt Fellow and 2) the Chinese University of Geosciences in Bejiing China where I collaborate with Professor Yuan Gao.

I teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in isotope biogeochemistry, Earth system history, and the relationship between climate, surface processes and tectonics.
