BioDr. Ingrid Anderson, Director of Transfer Academic Programs at Stanford University, supports all undergraduate transfer students, from their transition and integration into Stanford’s academic community until their graduation, through direct advising, nurturing campus connections, and program development.
Ingrid joined the Academic Advising team at Stanford in 2021 as a Residential Undergraduate Advising Director, and she has collaborated with numerous campus teams actively working toward making campus a welcoming place for all students and supporting their wellbeing.
Before coming to Stanford, Ingrid was an Assistant Dean & Academic Coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also earned master’s and doctorate degrees in political science. Additionally, Ingrid holds degrees in public policy and psychology from the University of Michigan, and has work experience in federal, state, and local government. -

My dedication to understanding the social experience is grounded not only in a love for academia, but in compassion: what we know only matters as much as our capacity to use it to make a difference in the lives of others. I believe that this is remarkably evident in Psychology, Data Science and Social Systems, and Public Policy. By studying the gaps between disciplines, I hope to better understand the persistent psychological impact of policy initiatives and systemic prejudices in the real world. This passion has informed the research I have pursued with the SPARQ Lab at Stanford and the Social Context and Inequity Lab at the University of Denver, as well as my community-oriented work with the Haas Center for Public Service as the Frosh Service Liaison Coordinator, a fellow with Leadership, Organizing, and Action, and a fellow for Matriculate.

Altay Atli

BioDr. Altay Atlı is co-teaching the “Exploring Contemporary Turkey” course at Bing Overseas Studies program hosted by Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey. He is a lecturer at the Graduate School of Business and Department of International Relations of Koç University, as well as the Asian Studies program of Boğaziçi University, and the founding director of “Atlı Global”, an Istanbul-based boutique advisory firm providing consulting and executive training services on global affairs and international business. His areas of academic interest include international political economy, economic diplomacy, business-government relations and the political economy of Turkish foreign policy. A graduate of the German High School (Deutsche Schule) in Istanbul, he completed a B.A. degree in Economics at Boğaziçi University, an M.A. degree in International Business at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, and obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Boğaziçi University. Dr. Atlı was affiliated with Boğaziçi University’s Asian Studies Center as well as Sabancı University Istanbul Policy Center, and he also worked as research coordinator at Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK). Dr. Atlı was chosen a "Global Emerging Voices Fellow” by Torino World Affairs Institute, in partnership with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Australian National University, and Stiftung Mercator; and he was recognized as a “Young Academics Fellow” by the Global Relations Forum. He is an expert member at the China Network of Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) and he regularly appears on programs in channels like Bloomberg, BBC World, Turkish Radio Television (TRT), Ekotürk, TvNet, CGTN, NHK Japan, Channel News Asia, China Radio International, commenting on developments in global affairs and Turkey’s international relations. Dr. Atlı is also involved in sports management and he is currently a board member at the Turkish Handball Federation.

Francesco Bagnardi

BioFrancesco Bagnardi is postdoctoral research fellow at Scuola Normale Superiore. He holds a PhD in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute in Florence. His work intersects labour sociology, international political economy, and social movements. His research interests include labour movements and employment relations, economic and labour geographies, and global production networks. He currently works on the international political economy and mobilizations of intellectual property rights regimes and health.

European institutional investors that promotes active shareholding on Environmental Social
and Governance issues. He was among the founders of Banca Etica in Italy of which he was
president up to 2019 (1,2 billion € portfolio credit) and up to 2023 also president of Etica Sgr
(Investment managing company – 7 €billion of assets) .
He has a degree and PhD in physics, specialization in Sustainable Development (Trento) and
in Business Management (Bocconi. Milano).
Since 2009 he is teaching Ethical Finance and Microcredit at the University of Florence

work, promoting actions and campaign with Italian NGOs. -

Diana Boebe

BioDiana studied at the Freie Universität Berlin as well as the Université d’Orléans, France (M.A. in American Studies, French and Latin American Studies, 2008), and the Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France (M.A. in German Studies, 2011). She has taught German as a Foreign Language at Nice University in France, and since September 2011, she has been a language instructor at the Stanford University Program in Berlin. Her courses include German 1Z - Accelerated First and Second Quarter German and 101B - Advanced German.
Since October 2015, she has also been teaching for the Technical University Berlin (Department: German as a Second Language) where she works with prospective subject teachers and promotes language education across the curriculum. -

Esteban Calvo
Director, Bing Overseas Studies
BioEsteban Calvo, PhD, MsPH is a global scholar and academic leader in longevity, health, and public policy whose work connects education and research to real-world impact. Trained as a sociologist and epidemiologist, he studies how social contexts across the life course shape health, wellbeing, and inequality, and how institutions can respond to demographic change through evidence-based policy and practice.
Over more than two decades, Dr. Calvo has designed and led interdisciplinary academic and research initiatives in Chile and the United States. He has served as Dean of a large and diverse faculty, founded interdisciplinary research centers integrating social and health sciences with gerontology, and built international partnerships linking universities, governments, and civil society. He has also held faculty appointments across schools of the social sciences, public health, and business, and advised public and private institutions across three continents on issues related to aging, health, social security, and strategy. Across these roles, his focus has been on strengthening institutions, improving decision-making, and creating learning environments that translate scholarship into institutional and public impact.
His research draws on large-scale longitudinal data from up to three million individuals across more than 160 countries and has informed public policy, institutional strategy, and legal decision-making. His work has been recognized by the American Public Health Association, the American Sociological Association, the Gerontological Society of America, and the Retirement Research Foundation.
As Director of the Bing Overseas Studies Program in Santiago, Dr. Calvo is committed to offering students a rigorous and immersive academic experience grounded in Chile’s social, cultural, and policy landscape. His leadership emphasizes experiential learning, cross-cultural understanding, and the translation of classroom knowledge into action, preparing students to engage complex social challenges with curiosity, responsibility, and a global perspective. -
Kurt Denver Campbell

BioProf. Kurt Campbell is the Director at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town. He is a past Harvard University fellow and visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota, Indiana University and the American University in Cairo. He has developed productive interdisciplinary dialogues as an artist, curator and academic writer. South Africa’s recent political past and the accompanying legacies often feature in his research. Crucially, this focus is not to re-inscribe the ideas of ‘race’ or ‘apartheid’, but rather to assist with a final critique of these boundaries and thus contribute to a potentially richer self-concept for individuals as they move in the intellectual world. His recent research is dedicated to South African rock art epistemology after apartheid.
